Cool stuff guys, I think the worldwide Fantatsyland could work really well, and it sounds brilliant!

Just a prior warning, I currently have external exams until next Friday so I may not be as active on this as I could be...

Wait, it looks like we only need to presetn our park icon and the it's a small world attraction by Wednesday.

My suggestion is rather simple: our Fantasyland has a theme of Fantasies Around the World. it's a small world fits perfectly within this theme, since its an attraction about children around the world. What I was thinking is that it's a small world gets a new facade and new scenes, mixing the theme Children with the theme Fantasies Around the World. The theme would be: the children dream around the world dream, and they dream about fantasies, and these are the fantasies that will change the world. Its like we transformed it's a small world into a dream world, a children's dream world.

As for the park icon, I suggest we do something new. Or a different castle (Beast's Castle, perhaps).

On another note, the countries inside Fantasyland should be: England, France, Italy, Germany, Denmark, Switzerland, Greece, perhaps an arabic land, Forests (?), Shadowlands and United States (so we can fit a Fantasia 3D show, a Princess and the Frog attraction and a Pocahontas show/ride here).

Yeah, the Fantasies around the world is what we were getting at.

I was thinking a world-themed castle with it's a small world at the base ofit.

I think we should just stick with European countries and have the Shadowlands as Russia. What is forests? And I think USA is better suited as a sub land for another area. Pocahontas could go into Frontierland, and PATF could go into a New Orleans area (or a bayou area) and Fantasia 3D could easily fit into Greece, what with it being heavily influenced by mythology (that's why it was going into Beastly Kingdomme.)

Yeah. I still think we should have a restaurant intertwined with the ride, though.

This part 1 is due to Wednesday, so I'll work on the it's a small world ride. Also, I have a lot of free time today since I'm not going to game design school since its the day that my country plays at the World Cup.

I'll do Greece, Shadowlands Russia, and England.

And I'll be glad to offer help to anyone that needs it.

Greece

A land of ancient history, culture and civilization.

The Greece area's attractions are solely based on mythology. Guests enter the Greece area in a plaza featuring ancient Greecian architecture, such as the Acropolis. Guests can find little shops in this bustling marketplace area. Further ahead is the Temple of Zeus, which serves as the entrance for an attraction based on the Disney Animated film Hercules. Beside that is the Hercules Arena, where guests can view a live show featuring characters from the film while dining on Greek-inspired food. Further along is the Fantasia Gardens section of Greece, where a Greecian theater surrounded by a lush garden shows a special effects spectacle, Fantasia 3D, based on the 1940 musical film.

The Hercules Adventure- Guests will travel through the dark ride in chariots shaped like Hercules' noble steed, Pegasus. The vehicle will travel through scenes based on the movie.

Pre-Show: Tablets on the wall in the queue (designed as the Temple of Zeus) are video screens which have the pre-story of the film being explained by the Muses, in song form. The load area will feature the final pre-story element; explaining Hercules' situation, for he is now a mortal on earth.

Scene 1: The vehicles will travel through a bustling marketplace, featuring many AA vendors and customers. We then see Hercules waiting with his father's cart. We hear a whirling sound (it's the disc) as we turn the corner, followed by some dialogue by Hercules: "I got it! I got it!"; "Uh-oh." An effect in front of us shows what looks like the pillars falling in front of us, and before it can crush the riders the vehicle speeds out into the next scene.

Scene 2: Hercules is seen standing, overlooking a lake, and singing "Go the Distance." We continue to see that Hercules has gone to a statue of Zeus, and the statue is very much alive. Zeus tells Hercules what to do, and a bolt of lightning knocks out the lights. The lights come back on to reveal an AA Hercules, riding Pegasus, singing a reprise of "Go the Distance." An instrumental version of the song plays as we continue to the next scene.

Scene 3: AA's of Phil, Hercules, and Pegasus are standing outside, where Hercules asks for Phil's help. Phil at first refuses, then a lightning effect from Zeus tells him otherwise. The vehicles continue to the next area, where the room is completely darkened. Rows of lights come on one after another, revealing multiple special effects based on Hercules. Phil will be singing the song "One Last Hope." AA's of the three will be seen throughout the scene. At the end of the scene, a giant axe looks as if it is going to mangle the riders, but Hercules swings out and destroys it. Phil congratulates Herc and the ride moves on.

And I will wrap this up... later.

Could we focus on our park icon? That and its a small world are due to Wednesday.

Oop didn't see that until I started to delve into Greece... but sure.

I'm guessing the icon is a castle? I was thinking we would do a Disney castle like in Kingdom Hearts, or a "World" themed castle.

Alright, so for small world I think we should take stratofarius' ideas for the ride, then combine them with mine. I really only had two ideas:

-Use updated doll-like AA's like the ones in the Sinbad ride at TDS
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uItkGjSK3AE (ignore the Japanese dialogue)

-Create a restaurant featuring rooms based on each ride scene, and have the restaurant be inside the ride (like BLue Bayou in DL)

Here's just a basic layout of what Fantasyland should eventually look like:

World Plaza
-(Park Icon, not Beast's castle because everyone else is doing that)
-it's a small world

England
(City)
-Mary Poppins Show/Ride
-Peter Pan's Flight (utilize KUKA robot arm?)
(Forest)
-Pooh's Hunny Hunt
-Robin Hood's Adventure
-Alice in Wonderland (utilize KUKA robot arm?)
-Sword in the Stone- Arthur's Journey

France
-Cinderella's Carriage Ride
-Beauty and the Beast Dark Ride
-Sleeping Beauty Dark Ride
-Hunchback of Notre Dame (Maybe a show instead of a ride, like the one from old MGM)

Italy
-Pinnochio's Daring Journey (OOOH we could use robot arm here to make it seem like the riders are puppets)

Germany
-Snow White's Scary Adventures (reimagined)
-Seven Dwarfs Mine Coaster

Denmark
(Tivoli Gardens where Dumbo's Circus has come to town)
-Dumbo the Flying Elephant (the new version)
-Casey Jr.'s Circus Train
-A replica of Himmelskibet (the tallest carousel in the world)
(Coastal Denmark)
-Voyage of the Little Mermaid
-Viking Adventure (it's a stretch, but whatever)

Switzerland
-The Matterhorn

Greece
-Hercules Dark Ride
-Hercules Arena
-Fantasia 3D

Russian Shadowlands
-Bald Mountain
-The Black Cauldron
-The Headless Horseman's Chase

Saudi Arabia
-Aladdin's Journey
-The Seventh Voyage of Sindbad
-Meet the Genie

So, what's up for discussion is everything in question marks, the park's icon, and how we should use the KUKA Robot Arm (or not use it at all)

We need an icon too? do we want a castle? or do we want to go different?

Beast's Castle has been suggested, as well as Rapunzels? Or an original idea?

Like 3 other teams are doing Beast's castle, and it doesn't really make sense in the scheme of our fantasyland. Same with Rapunzel's.

So yeah we should probably go with something original. I was thinking Disney castle like in Kingdom Hearts 2, or a combination of famous castles of the world.

Nice work figmntal. Would you mind if I did England- I'm from there and would really like to do it?

How about having a German fairytale castle based on the Neuschwanstein castle(call it King Ludwig's Castle or something) and then the Germany area can be at the entrance to Fantasyland and can include 'it's a small world', Snow White, and the Seven Dwarfs mine coaster.

Also I don't know if it would be too big but how about this for the England section:

Hundred Acre Wood: Pooh's Hunny Hunt, Hunny Tree Swingers (waveswinger ride), Hundred Acre Wood Adventure (adventure play area with rope swings, zip wires, bridges etc.)

Wonderland: Alice in Wonderland (KUKA arm ride), Alice's Curious Labyrinth, Mad Hatter's Tea Cups

London Town: Peter Pan's Flight(if it was a KUKA arm ride would it be considered a clone?), Mary Poppins (dark ride)

English Forest: Sword In The Stone, Robin Hood

Also how about ditching the Matterhorn and Switzerland completely (as that is a clone) and putting in a Mount Olympus coaster in Greece which has themes related to Greek Gods. Could we put a Pegasus spinner ride here also- no wait, I forgot about Dumbo.

Just thought I'd say that I absolutely love the Denmark land!!!
