Hidden Mickey on Dueling Dragons saga...

I did a search and couldnt find the information I am about to tell you. I know it has been discusssed that the Dueling Dragons ride system was designed in mind for Disney but as far as I know no one has ever mentioned the HIDDEN MICKEYS on the trains. Thats right...I was told by a friend of mine who is big on coasters that there are hidden mickeys on the trains. I didnt believe him so I went and looked for myself yesterday and was amazed to see them. I dont have a camera so I cant take pics but i can describe them. On the part of the train that rides on the track (obviously the top of the train because it is an inverted coaster) there are many "bubbles" or "scars". 3 of them make up a PERFECT mickey. It is horizontal, meaning the ears are on the left with the head right behind it. To be fair, I only saw it on the "fire" coaster becasue I didnt have time to look for them on the "ice" coaster. Just thought I would share. Have a magical day...

EDIT: PLEASE WAIT UNTIL I POST A PICTURE OF WHAT I WAS TALKING ABOUT, NOT WHAT SOMEONE ELSE THINKS I AM TALKING ABOUT

SECOND EDIT: THE PICTURES ON THIS THREAD WERE NOT SUBMITTED BY ME SO THEY ARE NOT THE IMAGE I AM TALKING ABOUT. PLEASE WAIT UNTIL I TAKE A PICTURE MYSELF BEFORE CASTING JUDGEMENT.

:eek: HOLEY BAG OF DONUTS!!!!! :eek:

I knew that DD was pretty much stolen from the Disney Co., but this is BLATANT. Universal has only one place where a Hidden Mickey came through, and it's on the Jurassic Park ride (Mickey Mouse ears with the name Michael in the wreck of a boat, an interesting hit on Eisner). But this says that Universal got a hold of the blueprints of the ride. Hey, keep a look out; maybe there are more HM's in the line or something.

Well, isn't it true that the people who created DD, or worked on the theme of it, were once Imagineers who were designing Beastly Kingdom and were working on a similar ride for Beastly Kingdom???

That is correct....former Imagineers who had worked on the BK concept came to Universal Creative for the IOA project.

But if they took blue prints from aride made for a Disney park, and took them some where else, and used them, isn't that illegal or something?

I highly doubt that DD is the result of actual Disney blueprints....this "Hidden Mickey" is most likely just a coincidence.

Yes it would be illegal. That is why DD was not built using Disney blueprints and designs but rather was simply based on the ideas for a similar ride that would have been built at DAK.

I actually drew up the blue prints for DD... but a man in a blue suit ran into my bedroom and stole them from my desk

He then got in my face and screamed at me "Islands of Adventure for life"

I was quite upset by this, but then I rode the ride and I enjoyed it so i let it go

just an FYI

Now that I've seen a photo, I must say that this is one of the most ridiculous things I've ever heard....this is supposed to show that Universal Creative deliberately put "Hidden Mickeys" on the trains? Give me a break....it's all coincidence....not everything with three connected circles means it's a HM....

Yes it does... President Reagan passed an Act back in 1985 which became an Amendment of the U.S. Constitution in 1991 under George Bush Senior that reads as follows;

Any and all symbols relating to, designed like, or with intentions of looking like the Mickey Mouse ears shall be found to represent Mickey Mouse and the Walt Disney Company. Any company, corporation, or persons who innovatively create this symbols without direct permission from the WDco will be found guilty and subjected to 6 hours of Its a Small World.

Those are the rules... I didn't write 'em
