Funny DVR on-screen programming error

(I hope this doesn't get me banned)

I have Rogers Cable in Ontario. Their on-screen programming guide is littered with errors on a regular basis, but tonight they've got a wing-ding. City-TV Winnipeg is showing 1999's Mystery Men starring Ben Stiller and Janeane Garofalo. But the on-screen programming guide lists a 2002 NC-17 (gay ) movie also titled Mystery Men with an all-male cast about a Peruvian mystic - oh, never mind. And it's kind of funny too that it's on after "Smallville."

Anyway, I imagine there'll be a few disappointed viewers who tune in only to find Ben and Janeane acting silly. I wonder where Rogers gets their listings from and if anybody ever bothers to double check them. As I said before, errors are common, especially confusing movies of the same name. But this is the best one (or worst one) yet.

^^After last Sunday, probably with great difficulty.

I gave up complaining about Rogers ages ago, they don't care anyway.

Hear, hear, though Cogeco always likes to choose its own times to have our Net/TV go down, and an insane waiting period for fixing. (Which it never really does get fixed.) "Can you be home between 9 a.m. and Thursday?"

Though that is quite funny.

What part of Ontario?

First - cable TV

What's next? Paved roads?

Viewers up here would love to get HBO and ESPN, but that probably will never happen.

My back country-road to my parents' place was recently paved about 90 per cent of the way. My car appreciates it in summer, but it was actually better as gravel in the winter because it wouldn't become a sheet of ice. I guess that's progress.

Sad part is most Yanks actually believe we live in Igloo's up here. Guelph here. I've had running water and electricity all my life. Yeah we plug it into a tree and Ice Fish for food..

I gotta go, my Polar bear is attacking my pet penguin again. :veryconfu

Buffalo, Cleveland, and I suspect most of Minnesota get more bad winter weather than I do in Southern Ontario. A two hour drive south of me is Pelee and it's the same latitude as Northern California!

While I never believed that, I was making a bit of fun...I also do that to people who live in the northern part of Wisconsin/Minnesota. I know quite a bit about canada, as one of my college roommates was a canadian.
