Im getting an error message every time i try to upload a new avatar. Ive tried a JPG as well as a GIf, Both smaller than 160x120 and both under 17kb.

What am i doing wrong?

DMC-12

It's HarmonioUS, NOT HarmoniYOU.
Ive gotten a couple of odd errors as well..... It says it needs to be 120X0.

And when I try to attach a pic to my posts... its says its too big.. and it needs to be 700X0.

Very wierd.

How do you make a picture smaller without taking off half of the picture? I want to make an avatar but, it doesn't just make it smaller, it just removes half of the picture. I am using a basic Paint or Images program.

Look for some sort of resizing utility or something off of Tucows or something. You need to resample the image using paint shop pro, photoshop or photoshop elements...

Post the photo in your photo album, post me a link to it and I'll resize it for you.

Hey Ace! Thanks so much for offering that! I will search for a photo and I will PM you with the link when I'm ready! Thanks!

In MS Paint, you can goto Image -> Strech & Skew, and then adjust the percentages in there to shrink(or strech to a smaller %) the image (you'll have to work out the calcualtion in your head first)

Thats what I do... just check the posted avatar limits and adjust till you have it right.
