Okay... Angel Food cake's in the oven. The clam dip's been made. Buttermilk and other last minute groceries have been bought.... and about a hundred other last minute things are done...

Ice cream making is next!

Hope you all have a great afternoon!

Ok...so...here's what I've been up to! It's been a busy 2 days.

I got to see WHF! It was great. We went to Steak and Shake for dinner. Then on Tuesday night at 10:00 my friends and I left for the movie theater. We got there at 10:30...and the theater already had people in it! Lots of people! We got good seats anyway and ended up seeing quite a few people we all went to high school with.

So on to the movie. I really liked it, but I definitely need to see it again before I can pass major judgement on it. I was basically watching figuring out...ok...what did they cut. The one thing I can say for this movie is that it went by REALLY fast. Usually in a 2 hour+ movie, I look at my watch at one point going...geez...how much longer. But with this movie, it was all non-stop action. No breaks that didn't have to do with the major plot at all. And even some things that did have to deal with the plot were shown in a very fast, brief manner. There was no B.S. Everything that was not important to the story was cut out 100%. It went by straight story line.

Then, yesterday, I went to get my wisdom teeth looked at. Turns out I will more than likely have to get them out. But I will have some complications. Looks like the roots of my teeth on the bottom fork around my nerve in my jaw. There is a chance...small, but bigger than normal, that I might loose sensation in my lips, lower jaw, etc if it accidentally gets hit. Now this oral surgeon is really good...but it's still quite scary to think that I might loose feeling there. I will probably be getting them removed in late October. I do have the choice though of not getting it done, but I think it's best to get it done now and have it be over than to definitely have to get it done when I'm in my 40s and have more compliations.

Then yesterday afternoon, I went to a local water park. I was outside for 2 hours just reading in the lazy river and got fried. My legs burnt so bad and I didn't even realize it. So I'm a bit of a lobster, but it's really feeling better than it did last night.

So that's all that's up with me. :D

Nibbs, that's what happened with one of my teeth. The roots were too close to a nerve and I was numb for a month or so afterward. The feeling gradually came back.

But you'll feel better once you get it done :D

Holy crap I'm absolutely freezing right now. It's crazy.
Frostbite?
60s is winter!
Our low is 63 today.
It feels great.
You all hate me.
Only most of us.
Nonsense. I just can't wait for you to experience windchills so cold that when you breath your nose hairs freeze. :xmas:
Or when it's so cold your teeth hurt.
Or that semi-painful first breath of bitter cold air when you walk outside.
Or slipping and falling on your @ss on ice.
:lookaroun
Etc, etc...
I WANT THIS ONE

NO WAY.
I'm getting it first.

really? What was it like to be numb for a while? They say the chances of it being permanant are slim, but with me, they are a little higher than slim...which is kind of scary.

It felt weird...it was only on the side where the nerve was and whenever I scratched my chin there, I couldn't feel it  It took a while for full feeling to come back, but I'm glad it did

That's much better! Let me live in denial. :D

On another note: Boy...that guy who tried to start another photo contest kinda got ripped to shreds.

And Hi Jenny!
I wasn't gonna say anything...but Mad decided to and then others did too. My problem was basically what I told him...too narrow a topic and confusing rules. Otherwise, he can knock himself out.

I think that a lot of people don't realize how actually hard it is to do the contests. I wasn't gonna tell him anything either. But they are definitely not a piece of cake. Plus, I mean it's really not necessary to have 2 almost idential contests. But, I'm not gonna tell him he can't. Just let it either die by him or die by not many entries. Just look at some of the other contests that have been tried to have been had. They usually don't last long.
