Now that will be interesting.

One of my roommates in Chicago was from Arizona and had never experienced winter or seen snow. The 1st day that it was in the 50's, she came home shivering and said "Brrrr...it's winter!". :ROFLOL: :ROFLOL:

That IS winter!

60s is winter!

So last night I had a housing crisis for Ohio State. One of my friends asked me how far from my classes my dorm was, so I mapped it all out and it turns out that all my classes are within the same block on North Campus... FAR from my requested dorm on West campus. Personally, I don't want to spend half of my freshman year walking through the snow for a mile to get to class at 8:30 in the morning.

So I'm going to call University Housing today and request to change my dorm from Lincoln House on West campus to Taylor Tower on North campus. I also know someone who is going to be staying in Taylor Tower, so that's good.
Wow, good thing you caught that one ahead of time. They may have a shuttle that goes around campus as well, if you're not able to switch. My campus was huge and they had a free one that went around.

All of those are good choices. I can personally vouch for the beauty of WL! DH wants to stay at the Contemp, and I want to stay at the Poly, so at some point in our future visits to the World, we will probably stay at them. The poly is as close as I will ever get to a 'Hawaii' type atmosphere.

That is me too.

Good Morning!

I have a busy day today. I have to be at work at 3 and before that I need to do laundry, go grocery shopping, and finish cleaning up the downstairs area...and if I have time I need to find a maintence man to dump the bucket of water on (thanks Connor :) )

I'm having baby shower gift problems. I realized yesterday that I forgot to put the extra postage on my card for Bunny (I was using a .39 stamp). It hasn't come back to me yet and I assume that it didn't make it to Dot either. I decided that I would just keep the giftcard and let my SIL use it and try to send a giftcard from one of the registries.....well babies r' us doesn't do gift cards straight from the registry so I went to Target's website....I got all ready to pay but I can't remember my password for that website :brick: I know I had changed it before we got married just in case Jay wanted to look at or change the registry (like that ever happend  ) and now I can't remember what it is. Maybe I can try to set up a new account and see if that will work.
 Hey Chris!!!!!
That IS winter!

*snicker* This IS going to be fun. Thank you, Luke. For the 1st time I'm actually looking forward to winter.

They do, but I don't want to have to deal with that. I never really was a fan of buses.

I'm pretty sure that I'll be able to switch.

Part of the joy of being a freshman is having to walk to the other side of campus to get to class. At PSU the East Hall dorms are pretty much the official freshman dorms...they are in the North-east corner of campus--not very close to anything. Luckily I didn't have to stay there, so my dorm was a little closer to some of my classes. Our campus is so big that you are sure to have to hike it across campus at some time.....it really wasn't fun when I had to do it on crutches:lookaroun

I still have to hike pretty far even from Taylor, but it's not quite as far a hike. Everything at OSU is a pretty far-ish hike to get to

Well I have my fingers crossed for you and hope the switch works out. Otherwise, you'll become a fan of the buses real quick if it saves you from trodging through knee-deep snow.
Sigh.

You all hate me.
Nonsense. I just can't wait for you to experience windchills so cold that when you breath your nose hairs freeze. :xmas:

Which is why I didn't go there. I wanted a smaller campus, so I went to U. of Toledo. Still, an 8 o'clock class in February on the other side of campus - good times. :lookaroun :D

Well I guess I need to go and get my laundry started. It's kinda nice with Jay being in Maine that my laundry is cut in half...but I guess I'll take doing double the laundry to have him come back :lookaroun

Have a great day everyone!

Oh, I love the big campus. Always something going on and bustling in some way.
