heh...

I'll try my best to make it Marc and I...we'll see how long that lasts!
Well, you can't do any worse then this one lady today. Her daughter (about 2-3) was in the cart and wanted to play with something on the shelf, her mother wouldn't get it for her and she through a fit. Started throwing stuff out of the cart onto the floor, screaming, and the mother's like here you go and hands the thing to the child. :zipit: Is all I am going to say.

Sigh... I have a feeling I may have to go there myself one day... I'm going to try my best, but I'm sure all parents break down on some days. :dazzle:

:dazzle: :dazzle: That's not the 'in charge' thing I meant though. Sometimes you have to stand a little embarassment to remind the kids they follow your rules, not their own.

I don't know. To me it seemed that the child was spoiled. She should have been told her actions are inappropriate. But those are my oppinions. And it is easier when you don't have children to think you know how to raise them.

Abby was Mike's little errand buddy, usually was pretty good, but when she was in the midst of toddlerdom, she threw some fit or other for him. He made sure she understood it would be a looooong time before she'd be allowed to go with him again. Most of the time I'm pretty understanding, having been in somewhat embarassing situations with both kids. What I do not get is how parents drag their kids along during the holiday shopping season. :hammer: :hammer: Is there NO ONE that can watch your kids for a couple of hours? Of course they're going to be tired and whine and complain.

Well, some things are just basic common sense, Dan. Most of parenting is. Absolutely she should not have been allowed to get away with it. Had my kids pulled that on me, I would informed them their behavior was making me even more determined to not give them their way.
Plus, guilt can be a powerful tool :D :animwink:
