a little military jargon.
It's a little more then military jargon, it's the way it is said so to not confuse one from the other. B,C,D & E all end with the eee sound. If there is noise or a person pronunciation is muffled, mistakes can be made. In the event of an emergency it is important to correctly identify the correct area.

Now if you just used the letter A instead of Alpha someone might think you're from Canada and just coming to the end of a sentence, eh. ;) If you just used the letter F, someone might think that you are just cleverly disguising a swear word. That is also why Canadians pronounce Z as Zed. They don't want to confuse the alphabet with sleeping.:bored: I don't know what they do when they want to catch a few Zeds!

The Otis Elevator Company helped build ToT, when asked if they would like to sponsor the ride as a form of advertising, they politely declined (for obvious reasons).
It also is not classified as an elevator as a transportation device. Then it would be subject to codes and restrictions.

Did you know that they only had a certain number of heads (can't remember how many but not many) and the heads/faces on PotC are the same in HM. One I noticed is the person that blows out the candles in the HM ball room is the same as the one spitting water after being pulled out of the well in PotC. HM is female. PotC is male.

I guess I should say forms or molds, they only had so many forms/molds of heads
Also Grandpa in COP. Is looking like the guy in the computer room in Spaceship.

Bump.

The layout of the Hollywood Tower Hotel that you see doesn't actually make logical sense:

- the two fake "out of order" elevators in the lobby are implied to go all the way to the top of the building, but the lobby and library portion of the building actually extend away from the main section of the building. Above the lobby is just a roof.
- the walls that the fake "out of order" elevators are on are not quite thick enough to contain an elevator shaft.
- the fake windows next to and inside the library on the left (Echo) would not actually be an exterior wall. The boiler room is on the other side.
- the boiler room loading area is labeled as the basement level ("B"), and the exit is also labeled as "B", but the boiler room is actually on the 2nd floor of the building (though its implied that you made your way to the basement after the library) and the unload/exit is on the 1st/ground floor. From a story standpoint, starting and ending in different parts of the B level does make sense, however, as the ride transports you from the hotel's service elevator shafts to the guest elevator shafts.
- the dimensions of the tower don't make much sense either - the reason the elevator doors open to a view of the outside is because that section of the hotel has disappeared. However, since the neon sign is only a few feet away from the doors, there is nowhere near enough room for there to have been a hallway there (in this regard, Disneyland's ToT did it better)

of course, most attractions and queues do this - for example, in Gringotts, the windows on the left of the main lobby don't actually lead outside. Its just more unique for Tower because its very rare for a ride's show building to also be *the* ride and be completely in theme with the ride's story.
