Technically the fireworks are after the first show of Fantasmic but the premium package gets you time before the fireworks begin, which runs into conflict with the first Fantasmic.
So if theres only one showing of Fantasmic, but we want to catch the frozen fireworks too... are we totally screwed?

Don't cancel your reservation as if used correctly many praise this event, but I will give you a little advice. The check in time listed is late to what time you may actually check-in. Often times they're set up at 9:00 or earlier and ready for check-in. At that point you're able to pick your show time with hardly any issues because there should be plenty of each time slot open. Showtimes typically don't start running out till the 10:00 mark.

There is a large area roped off for both the parade and fireworks just for package guests. The area will be the same for both morning and evening events. And again when checking-in in the morning for your reservation I would ask the host what the recommended arrival time to your reserved area is and follow their suggestions. Opening for parade viewing area may occur 15-30 minutes early prior to 10:30, depending on the day. Package guests will have a reserved section for the 11:00 parade. The typical opening time for fireworks is 8:00 not 8:15. Often times the people on the phone know little about how the event runs, your check-in host(s) will give you all the inside scoop. And checking-in doesn't mean you must stick around till the event starts, it simply entails picking up your credentials and selecting your showtime. And finally yes it is very possible to do both Fantasmic and the fireworks you'll just have to see the second showing of Fantasmic.

A question about checking in at 9. Does the whole party need to be there or just one person?

Also, I have the same question for Jedi Training sign ups. Ideally, I would want my wife and I to split up at rope drop (her going to get Frozen reservations while I sign up for Jedi training). Is this possible?

Yes but the child must be present for jedi training registration.

I was quoted by PhotoDave... an honor for a casual poster. Sounds good, I guess I will have to take the kids. THANK GOD FOR MY OVERSIZED STROLLER.

No, for checking in only one person needs to be present so you're all good as long as you have the last name of your party handy!

At least with that Star Wars Rebels thing and now Frozen Fever they're at least using the sound studio again ... lol

Considering they're turning Hans into the punching bag of the Disney Animated Canon (his cameos in Frozen Fever and Big Hero 6 are both evidence of this), how about they set up a booth near the exit where you can throw rocks at a cardboard cutout of him?

It is much appreciated Dave! And my "it's a honor" statement is sincere. Please don't be thrown off by my sarcastic stroller comment. You are an awesome poster.

I'm not that awesome. My ex's will tell you.

Alas SWW has been slammed this year compared to last. And I saw too many parents try to register the kids Last year only not to realize they needed the kid.

Hope they have fun...

That remains to be seen. Star Wars fireworks were originally scheduled for 9:45, but after the first weekend this year they got moved up to 9:30. By overlapping the first Fantasmic with the fireworks, they immensely relieved pressure on Fantasmic and therefore both showings have been crowded, but neither showing for the night has hit capacity during SWW. It seems the same plan is in effect for most of Frozen Summer Fun (2 Fantasmics at 9:00 and 10:30; Frozen Fireworks at 9:30).

When the end of August rolls around and the park instead closes at 9:30 with only one Fantasmic scheduled for 8:30, it'll just become a question of whether or not they add a second Fantasmic for those nights (not out of the question) and whether or not they continue to try to disperse crowds by having Fantasmic and fireworks overlap.

OK, I'm confused. What happens to the 9PM F! Crowd? Don't they have to go down Sunset and Hollywood since there's no Backgate or are they using it now? SWW's show is 20mins and pyro is the last 5 mins. so the F! Crowd really hasn't missed anything as they walk out right after F!
