And THAT is the entire point of Disney!! - feeling the magic no matter how simple or sophisticated!!!
For something like this two months should be sufficient. Two weeks is far too rushed to do it right
Is he in charge of the villain thing(last year and this)?Hearing it was actually 1.5 weeks, when the practicalities shook out. Fortunately DHS show head honcho Michael Roddy is a genius at this sort of thing. Halloween Horror Nights has never been quite as good since he left Universal; glad to see Disney step back and let him do his thing.
Now, TDO, just imagine what he could do with proper time to create a DHS Halloween event for 2015 ...

What are the odds they will force Frozen to be overly themed into Halloween events and Christmas? Not saying they shouldnt add it, just that they will go overboard with it. Heck I wouldnt be surprised if we see a Frozen themed "secretaries Day" or Frozen "national doughnut day" events

Don't know how Frozen fits into Halloween but definitely Christmas! Here's something interesting, next weekend, Disney Channel is having a Frozen Summer Weekend, with Olaf, singalong songs and DC Stars recording Do you want to build a SnowmanWhat are the odds they will force Frozen to be overly themed into Halloween events and Christmas? As my post clearly stated, Im not not saying they should not add it, I was simply posturing what the odds are of it being overdone.Don't know how Frozen fits into Halloween but definitely Christmas! Don't know if was already planned, or building on the success of DHS.
As for the Disney quality, how is DHS Frozen different than what Aladdin and Toy Story Parades used to be? Aladdin/Toy Story weren't big parades, certainly didn't outshine MK, but MGM did a great job with them. Isn't DHS FROZEN kind of the same thing?
Yeah, it had slowed down as we left the park and waited at Guest Relations for a parking refund. The lady at the window next to us was asking for a refund because of the rain. She had been there since 12:30 and wasn't able to "ride the roller coaster" or any other rides, and they weren't able to see Fantasmic. The CM kindly let her know that the roller coaster was actually indoors, and pretty much everything in the park is indoors, and that Fantasmic often goes on through the rain.@James we got to HS at abt 8, waited in line at Rock n Roller coaster and had pretty much cleared up after. Not enough to let Fantasmic go on.
A sing-along is fine for a one-off temporary event, but I certainly don't want to see them become their new "go to" space filler. I don't need to cusit a theme park to watch and sing along to a DVD. I think they can do much better.Regarding Villains..as I've said before, all the Frozen stuff will be removed from the park the night of August 22nd so they can transform it for the Villain's Party. I don't have confirmation on if Oaken's area will be closed, I could see them keeping the merchandise area open if the demand is there (which it clearly is), however it wouldn't surprise me if they did close it just so they maintain consistency with the event. Point is, I highly doubt there is any trace of Frozen at DHS on August 23rd. Then it all goes back into the park for the 24th.
On a related note the feedback from the Frozen Sing along has created a lot of conversation about the longevity of the show & how it affects use of Premiere Theatre. Two years ago DHS brought back Comedy Warehouse for the Holidays and put the show in ABC Theatre (Sounds Dangerous). But the location was cramped so last year they moved it to Premiere Theatre and put the Holiday Cartoon Viewing in ABC Theatre instead. The question is, if Frozen Sing A Long is doing well enough would they keep it going through December and if so would they keep it at Premiere? I've been told Comedy Warehouse will be back this Christmas, so that makes me wonder where it would be placed. Right now the wild card is the American Idol Theatre. They just had their last "full" operation on July 13th and the AIE will be gone by the 1st of the year. From everything I've been told, until a new option is created for that piece of real estate the leading temporary idea for that stage is a form of a "Disney Sing A Long" similar to Frozen. I have a feeling if the reduced use of AIE the rest of the summer goes downhill fast, they could axe the show for the holidays, and put Comedy Warehouse in the AIE Theatre so they can keep the Frozen Sing Along inside Premiere Theatre for the rest of the year
I've been told by a handful of SODL people that their is a very good likelihood of Frozen tunes being added to the
Playlist this year on SoA. Can't say for certain if Frozen will influence any other parts of SODL.
