Frozen at Disney's Hollywood Studios for the summer?

Let's not forget that sorcery in the sky played at Christmas during the first couple years of the lights before F! Came so they figured out a way.

Couldn't they do the fireworks late like the new years fireworks? That way, most of the night would be for the Osborne lights. That is of course, if frozen is extended that far.

There's no reason they couldn't run the show at park close like Wishes. Or IllumiNations. Or Fantasmic! Or MSEP sometimes.

Except that Osborne Lights typically run well after park close. When it doesn't really get dark enough until 6ish to see the lights well, that would require them to keep the park open later to allow for the draw of Obsorne Lights. And seeing as how they are trying to close parks as early as possible, well....

You are referring to a period of time for replacement of light bulbs before they burnt out. Keep that in mind.

A few months back they increased the hours at DHS starting Nov 7th from 7pm to 8pm, which is the day the Osborne lights debut this year, and then not long after that they announced the Frozen Summer event. There's no reason to think these 2 things are related in any way, but in past years DHS was only open until 7pm during Nov-Dec with the Osborne Lights shows beginning around 6pm

And Frozen fireworks certainly work for a winter holiday celebration. Maybe they'll run the Frozen fireworks only on nights when DHS is open until 9 or something like that, but I'm betting there will be some continuation through the holiday season.

I saw the festivities for myself for the first time this weekend and thought it was pretty nice, even the band on the stage (don't shoot me!!!!!!!!!). Can't beat walking into the park for the fireworks after relaxing in the hotel for a bit and hearing The Beatles. Don't know how they fit with Frozen, but I certainly wasn't complaining ;) You could see how it could've been better if they had more time planning this. The fireworks were great, can't remember the last time I saw fireworks in DHS.

And getting everyone to join in on Hey Jude just made it all the more cooler!

Just talked to a CM friend and he told me that he was just recently informed that this Frozen stuff is going to be running until the new year.
Can we confirm this ? If so, I will be extremely happy come that time between Thanksgiving and somewhere just before Christmas {19 Dec ?} when the parks are pretty much empty.

I was there for extra magic hours and caught the last showing of MuppetVision with only 6 other people in the theater. Walking back to the stage escorted by security since the park was closed by then what do I hear? None other than Another Brick in the Wall from Pink Floyd. Awesome way to end the night :) The band also made a good joke about how technically we were trespassing since the park was closed and we would have to pay a fine to Disney :hilarious:

Osborne Lights debut Nov 7, not 10th.

Finally got a chance to see this yesterday ... although you would not have known Summer is over from the crowds.

The live part of the Sing-Along is amazing. Truly laugh-out-loud funny, with a pair of great comedic actors (I recognized one as an old fan-favorite Otis from the Adventurers Club). The writing has Michael Roddy's fingerprints all over it--he wrote the old Beetlejuice show and the best Bill & Ted shows at Universal, and his humor still works even tho this is G-rated. Wasn't as big a fan of watching DVD scenes up on the big screen, but the full house of little girls singing along disagreed.

[Two non-theme park notes: Divorced from the plot, "Let It Go" sounds much more like the villain song it was originally intended as. And with all the songs lined up in a row, "Do You Want to Build a Snowman?" was robbed at the Oscars.]

Frozen Fun Land was cute. Just enough theming to make it work. Prices were not bad either--$10 for skate rental, socks and 30 minutes of ice time, $5.50 for a massive carrot cake cupcake (a steal compared to the $4 churro!). I didn't get on the ice myself--it's been decades, not in the mood to see if my skills held up--by my goddaughter and a 20-something friend did and they loved it. If there's a downside, they really need more signage outside saying the attraction effectively closes at 6:30. Ton of people walked up wanting to skate and walked away disappointed.

Fireworks were great. Not quite to the level of anything at MK, but better than the overrated Illuminations (come at me, fanboi!). Only downside is the same as SWW and Villains Party 2013--Hollywood Blvd. and the parking lot can't handle a mass exodus of 10k-12k guests all at once. Really wish they'd keep the park open another hour, maybe do a second Fantasmic.

Goes to prove you don't have to spend a lot--you just need to make sure guests see every dollar you do spend, and offer something fun. The crowds will come.

I thought it was pretty neat too but I didn't catch the sing a long. I didn't bother cause I assumed the line would be huge, how long did you wait?

The sing a long has these little paper tickets they give out (Like the pirates show at the same park.) and you come back around an hour or so before (For the best seats.) and then watch the show. I think you can get tickets for more than one.. Not sure though.

Not sure if this has been noted, but the former AFI spot is to be opened by the end of the month as the new Oakie Dokie Trading Company, or whatever the Frozen thing is called with the build a snowman, snacks, and merch. No ice rink moving forward. This opens up the studio for the TSM expansion, which is to start immediately come October 1st.

Sad the Ice Rink won't stay, makes me wonder if the company has had enough.
