Build rides based upon original ideas. Done.gonna be funny in about seven-eight years when people come out of the woodwork to complain that PATF is also culturally insensitive
That's the trouble with Disney trying to keep up with cultural sensibilities. It's impossible to keep up.gonna be funny in about seven-eight years when people come out of the woodwork to complain that PATF is also culturally insensitive

There were other places to put a lounge, and despite the staggering number of poor decisions made for this park in just the past few years alone, this may be the worst one since they replaced a ride with a meet n greet hall.
Original ideas would be subjected to the same ridiculous kind of scrutiny by the same people. Moot point anyway, non-IP builds are never coming back.Build rides based upon original ideas. Done.
Until someone finds something in those rides offensive. See: Pirates. Haunted Mansion. Original ideas, but then they'll get changed. If seeing a corpse above your head bothers someone, don't look up. But Bob doesn't like original ideas, he only likes movie IP and franchises. Getting that intellectual rot out of the company is going to take years.Build rides based upon original ideas. Done.
Apropos: “The truth is these are not very bright guys, and things got out of hand.”These people are delusional to think they just managed to show up right at the moment where the sensitivity march stopped and NOW they got it right and no one will ever complain about them. But I guess when you're not an artist, just someone who judges other people, it doesn't matter.
(People were already saying the whole salt mine thing is insensitive. Disney just decided not to care about that one.)

It really is a shame that everything is perceived by the masses to be offensive. In splash’s case we are grown adults (I assume) talking about how a cartoon bunny, fox, and bear with a deep southern accent is “problematic”.Nothing in HM bothers me. Nothing in Splash bothered me. Nothing in Pirates bothered me. The shooting gallery doesn't bother me. Because I'm intelligent enough to know that these are all made-up and not real-life. My kids are intelligent enough to know that these are all made-up and not real-life. Instead of being offended at the presentation of things and demanding things that "offend them" be removed, people should use them as a learning tool and as an example of how far we've come.

It is quite a bit smaller than that, and the overall footprint of the space will not be enlarged. If they use all of this space (basically the max they could assuming 1 story) they would get ~9,500sqft. Using 30-35 sqft per person gives us a capacity of 271- 317 people

People who think seriously on these issues do not think it will ever be 100% right. It's always a work in progress. There are always adjustments to be made and new points to consider.
In this case I don't think it's a stretch to think a concept from the 1950s should have some 1990s sensibilities applies to it. It's probably about 30 years late already.
That's why I added the little bit about how these people aren't artists and so don't care.
Ouch. That is not going to be a lot of space. Maybe half of what was shown in the post you quoted? And obviously not all of that will be lounge space, there would need to be some backstage stuff for staff and facilities. It is quite a bit smaller than that, and the overall footprint of the space will not be enlarged.
They care about making people happy. Same deal.
Our dues will probably go up if we want that extra blue card to use the Lounge- line a mini Club 33. Pay to play (with the coke machine) lolOuch. That is not going to be a lot of space. So what's your guess on how much the ILL to get into the DVC lounge will go for? $20 per person? $25? $35? Maybe $50 or more on holiday weeks?![]()
One day we will see an attraction there again, it is prime real estate. Think it is long past time.Im shocked stitch hasn't become a dvc lounge.
No one has. Well, very few people. I would image that the vast vast majority (like 99%) of guests to MK don't even know Pecos Bill is anything more than just the name on the restaurant.
