David,

Are we still going to be seeing "rarely-seen" and retired Streetmosphere characters, etc.

Honestly that was the draw for many of us.

Frankly, I haven't the foggiest idea who Tyler Hilton is (I suppose this makes me sound like an old Fogie)

I dunno, i gotta say the highlight for me was when Jesus took the wheel....

That was definitely the part that I will remember the longest. My lip started to bleed as I bit it so that I wouldn't laugh.

All in all, we had a good time at the benefit. I was suprised by how much I enjoyed Tyler Hilton's performance, and of course any time Return to Zero aka 4 for a Dollar performs it's a great thing.

And the end was very touching. It was worth braving the heat and other things to be there for that.

We were disappointed there weren't more Streetmosphere pefromances. Or any Streetmosphere performances, for that matter, but it was still worth having gone.

During "jesus take the wheel" I looked over to my manager beside me and burst out laughing- her face was in her hands and her shoulders were shaking from laughter. And did anyone else know that the words "reflection" and "me" had so many syllables?? But yes, besides the merchandise entertainment, the show was pretty cool. I was very excited when they announced Four for a Dollar. I love those guys!

ease up

hey...

take it easy on the merchandising people... it takes a lot of guts to get up on stage... it takes even more to get up on stage and sing... they might not have been pros, but there is no need to say such nasty things about them... you never know... they might frequent these boards and see that you are insulting them... that just isnt right...

if you want to insult someone, insult me... i was one of the guys who got up and did the chair trick... the one with the LOST t-shirt and bandana...

now what i will say is that i was definetely upset that there was not any improv... as i thought it was going to be the whole show... i talked several people into coming to the show for the improv and there wasnt any... i was also upset that the show was advertised as a $10 suggested donation, but when we got there they were requiring you to pay... i would have paid either way of course because of the good cause, but if someone came without money or say with only five bucks and wasnt allowed in... then that isnt right...

I have to agree with you there... it's not right to advertise a show as a $10 suggested donation, and then require folks to pay upwards of $20 if they were a non-cast member. The money itself isn't the point, as we know it's for a good cause, but the whole action just irks me.

I do have to say that while I respect and applaud those with the courage to get up and sing, when Jesus took the wheel I was wondering where's a good cockroach when you need one.

Ok here is the deal

Here is the short story, When Tyler Hilton signed on, we had a brand new expence, we had to fly 4 people from LA. that was lets just say over $2000, which was needless to say an unforseen expence.

As for the Streetmosphere characters, Disney Informed us at Midnight of the dress rehersal that We did not have the use of the Backdrops, Set, or any other of the "Disney" props. They also at that time informed us that NONE of the "Disney Characters" as all of the Streetmosphere Characters are owned by Disney could be used, so None of the Streetmo- Characters could be used nor ther costumes. Not only that, but the retired Characters had been "Retired" and could not return.

So at the last minute we had to re-write a major portion of the show. And I was onsite, and Not being a Cast member, I have no PC Access to update folks,

With that being said, Disney was completely wonderful and completely professional in putting on what I believe to be an amazing show! Craig Wilson was great, Tyler Hilton was Amazing (Palmetto Bugs and all) and My heart goes out to all of the Merchandise Performers for Getting out there and bearing their soul and exposing their hearts just for "Rosie" I have to agree with the former statement that It takes a tremendous amount of courage to get up there. And I can say that once you step foot on that stage, its like a deer in the headlights!

Also, please keep in mind that this event was put on by for the most part 1 person with my assistance, Without her there would have truly been No event, there were many obsticles to overcome, and with her working a full time job, her father have to been transported across the country for medical reasons, traveling from Pittsburgh to Miami in one direct shot, and sleeping a total of 5 hours the week of the show, My heart goes out to Angela for if it were not for her, we would have had nothing at the final hour and no show.

My sincerest appologies go out to any of those who I might have offended at raising the price to people that would have only heard about the event on the radio promotions that we had put on, but I felt in my mind that I should give an amazing deal to those True fans who wanted to be there for Donna, with the addition of Tyler, we did not want to destroy any of the event by screaming girls running all over the place (not that its a bad thing) but, thats also why we structured the event as we did, it allowed those who only came for Tyler a polite way to exit should they not want to partisipate in the 2nd half of the show.

The Main purpose of this event was to raise the most amount of money for Mom in the best way possible, and also bring the best possible show that Disney would allow!

My heart and thanks goes out to all who attended!

David

And believe me that actually is the short story!

Let me just say that if we would have been in Fla for this event, I would have happily paid twice what the recomended donation was to be a part of this event. There are no telling how many people "Rosie" has touched and made a vacation memorable.

I cant wait for our next trip. We are planning to take one day and do nothing but watch streetmosphere performances. I hope to be able to see my two favorite ladies at the Studios, Rosie and Dame Sadie.

Glad to hear it went well. I wish your mom and quick and heathly return to the MGM studios! It's just not the same without her!. I felt bad I couldn't go. So, needless to say, I am very sorry I couldn't attend, but am glad to hear it went well!

Not to totally burst your bubble, but I dont think Dame Sadie is still there. However, I did attend the benefit with her! My manager friend that I went with is a personal friend of many of the Streetmo players and we met up with "Dame Sadie" and "Greta Garbage" another former player. We also sat with the actor who plays Frederick of the Hollywood Public Works. It was great!
But I will ask my friend if Dame Sadie still make appearances...

As for the merchandise performers, we did applaud them as if they were someone like Tyler or Craig, as it did take a lot of guts to do what they did. It was just funny is all. And we didnt mind playing one bit. I wish more of the profits had gone to benefit sweet Donna. That woman is awesome.

Does anyone have a list of the items that were auctioned and what they sold for? I'd love to see what things were up and how much went towards Donna!!!

Thanks. Any info would be greatly appreciated. I would rather be dissapointed now than when I got there.

A dollar of each CD of Craig's and Tyler's went to Donna. I wish it could have been more than that. For auction there were some Soap Star dresses, soap star suit jackets and an original Streetmo dress that was really pretty and shiny. When I looked at the bid sheets, opening bids on the items were $25-$45 tops. But I also didnt see any names written down. People did win them though. So that was good. Didnt all of those profits go to Donna? Can someone confirm? What about the ice cream and soda that was sold? Oh yeah, they also had Cheetah girls tickets, and a Super Soap gift basket with set props and stuff in it. And one item was to have your name used in this author's upcoming book/screenplay that will be turned into a movie. Sounded exciting! Hope this helped!
