It's funny, I was able to ride BTMRR at disneyland like a week before they went into the big refurb and I remember the ride itself was very rough. Fast forward to after the refurb it was so smooth! The difference (IMO) was night and day. I think I had a good memory of it because when I rode it before the refurb the ride wasnt only rough through the hard turns but it also stopped working twice, once on the first climb, and another time later in the ride. It was so bad that they even pulled our train afterward! So in comparison to BTMRR here at MK the track IMO runs nice still, nothing like how the DLR version was before the refurb. I'd love to see the extras put in if they can pull it off here, heres to hoping!

Oh that's good to hear, I think I recall they replaced a bunch of track in recent refurbs....but its been a couple years since I rode WDW BTMRR...think the last big refurb was all about the new queue? The more plussing the better. ;)

Ive only rode WDW BTMRR about 10x with the first time being about three years ago, so I'm not sure if there has been a refurb since. But as far as I can remember the queue and ride experience has been the same for me so far.

I've been to disney world quite a few times.. and I'm bringing my boyfriend for his first time in any disney park in late August/early September. I was absolutely gutted to learn two of my favourite rides - big thunder mountain AND dinosaur will be closed for referb :( I have usually visited in June/July with my parents but later in August was the most affordable time for me and my bf and he is so disappointed about it as well! We're coming from England and its like the most expensive holiday hes ever bought for himself.. I know they have to update/maintain the rides but come on can you not do it properly out of season like december!?! :(

*cries dramatically*

But seriously, we were bummed to find out it would be down. Plus, we keep forgetting until someone brings it up in the planning. Then we have to relive it all over again!

Believe me I understand, I have been too many times to count but this is going to be my BF first trip. Since we have booked , we have had ROL not start in April, don't know if it will everstart, no MSEP, BTM down first two days of our trip, no nighttime AK hours,, so belive me I understand
