hahahahha i was at the gym when she was singing "can't live" last night... (i was watching the bruins... but the tv with its speaker right next to me was on full volume with it on... I SWEAR!!!)


anyways...

that song literally carried me through like middle school heart breaks... hahahahaha....

it was a riot listening to it and being like "awwwwwwwww... all my past middleschool girlfriends... (the 1-5 day variety...)"

tough to workout to the thought of calling up a girl, asking her out... getting a "NO"... not even a "oh i just like being friends" or... "i'm not ready..."

nope... just a "NO"

OH I got a better one for ya... this was great, what i just posted made me think of it...


Freshman year i had been wicked close to this girl for like a year... and we hung out alllll the time... talked on the phone all the time... and just kept getting closer and closer... and finally I was like "i seriously really like this girl a lot... oh my god, now this is going to be weird..."

so... i had that "friends/more than friends" dilemma play out for honestly about a month... finally after talking to some of her friends and such, which hardly was needed, we were so close i felt like "she definitely likes me, she has to..."

so... I called her up one night finally to tell her how I felt... approach it that way... I did the dial 6 out of the 7 numbers then hang up like 100 times before finally pulling the trigger...

she answers and I'm like "hey... something I wanted to talk to you about..."

and she replies (this is literally RIGHT out of every single sitcom on television, I swear this is exactly how it played out too...)

so she replies "oh my god Joe!!!! I just got off the phone with so-so... and he asked me out!!! can you believe it!!! I never thought he liked me..."

me: "so... i take it you said yes??"

her: "OF COURSE I SAID YES!!!"

so... i made up something about saying I wanted to just hangout that weekend... and we did... and it was MISERABLE... and... that was just AWFUL...


we're actually still very close today, and I eventually told her the story and she felt awful... and I laugh about it now because... I was like 13... HEARTBROKEN... but its good to be able to laugh at it now... because honestly, that's literally a scene out of every sitcom ever... happened to me

of course...



okay well i'm gonna watch the Red Sox make a top of the 9th comeback over the Yanks then hit the bed...
