In other news, Mike took Joel to get the vaccine. After waiting in the health dept an hour, they bring a brand of the vaccine with the mercury preservative in it. They have apparently changed brands or something. When Mike pointed out the mercury, she went to consult the doctor who confirmed its presence. So Mike left. Now we need to find out from a specialist what companies make the vaccine w/out the preservative, and special order it, so our family doc will need to administer it.
I can't believe these fools that call themselves medical professionals think it OK to put mercury into a child's arm and say there's no risk. :fork: I swear, they count on us staying uninformed and having a blind faith in the medical profession. Those days are waaay over for us.

Amazing how you have to keep yourself informed on medical issues. Gone are the days of just trusting in the professionals!

I believe that Joel's autism was present from birth. I also believe any introduction of a toxic metal in his system could very well exacerbate his symptoms. If someone breaks a glass thermometer, the area has to be evacuated and cleaned up by professionals, as mercury is not only a silver substance, but is releasing vapor at the same time. Guess what? I never knew that....all I knew is you shouldn't touch it and needed to dispose of it right away. And gues what broke in my house when I was pregnant with Joel? Did it contribute? I don't know. Did it help? Certainly not!
The mercury in vaccines is a different kind. And studies have shown that once it crosses the blood-brain barrier, it can be present in the brain for years. Of course other studies will poo-poo that and say it's not conclusive.
WHY ON EARTH WOULD YOU TAKE THE CHANCE???? Common sense means nothing next double-blind studies sponsored by the pharmaceutical industry.

so here's a random queery...

Paris Hilton got released today from jail with a mystery ailment (:rolleyes: ) Anyway...I had heard another report in the past saying that she has some sort of STD...wouldn't put that past her either. What if her mystery ailment really is an ailment and it's and STD and they released her because they didn't want it to have the chance to spread in the jail. Because then it would be like an epedemic. :lookaroun

(I will remove this question if anyone thinks it is inappropriate...just a general wondering...)

Jenn - glad to hear your Dad's doing better.I can't believe they were going t give that shot. I really don't trust doctors at all!

I'm past sick.
I have no time for celebrities who think they deserve special treatment just because they are celebrities. Add to that the fact that she really has no cause for her celebrity other than wealth. Disgusting waste of time.
