Friends/Coworkers etc.. Reactions to Disney Wedding/Honeymoon

Can't say I have any experience with a wedding/honeymoon as I'm not married, but I think it's just a general reaction from non-Disney obsessed people. Me and my boyfriend Bret will be making our 4th Disney park trip (this time to Disneyland!) in one week, and we always get the "You guys are going to Disney AGAIN?!"

But for everyone of those people, there's another who just chuckles and shakes their head because they just saw it coming. Other than Bret's family, we haven't encountered anyone who actually "gets" it. Oh well. =] We'll gladly take the jeers and snickers, because nothing beats finally getting to WDW and hearing "Welcome home!"

I've definitely been there and I would guess most people on this forum have as well. I don't mind the people that don't get it, I do mind the complete Disney haters that tell you Walt was an anti-semite and bash everything Disney just to get a rise out of you. I even had someone say to me "Eff Mickey Mouse" and omg I just had to walk away before I smacked him. I think that some people are just miserable and want everyone else to be the same. When you have something like Disney that makes you happy, people want to try to make you miserable. I just try to shake it off and "just keep swimming" :D

On another note, the other day I was at the store and I kept noticing people looking at me and then I realized I was wearing a pink Mickey Mouse shirt, Nerds Rock tote bag, and black Mickey Mouse crocs (with white socks). I looked pretty ridiculous for Baltimore :P So I do understand that sometimes I'm just asking for it!

Thanks everyone! Its just such a bummer that my best friend would think like that I guess lol, but my future husband and I are completely in love with a Disney wedding/honeymoon and are so looking forward to it! I guess I just don't understand why people would even respond like that, I think the pack backing through Europe idea would be more un-romantic but if my best friend told me that I think I'd be more supportive, to each their own though lol.
The key is to not give the haters a single inch of ground. You are happy with your choice, and you have no reason to feel the least bit bad about it. Your best friend has no stake in this decision.
