Cool thanks. Now I remember the shirt in question. It is Pooh with a magnifying glass looking at a tiger, right? It was a pretty cool shirt.

Well, I went and made some shirts today for my daughter for our upcoming trip (can't believe it is just about upon us).

Let me know what you think. No Save Tigger or anything like that but stuff that I think outschool WDW fans will like and notice.

Black Retro WDW Mickey head.

Pink Retro WDW Mickey Head with rhinestones surounding it, I thought for sure it would be her favorite but only placed in 3rd.

Retro Land Logo.

Retro EPCOT Center logo.

Dead Men Tell No Tales shirt (her 2nd favorite)

Her favorite which I was a little surprised about. The Living Seas logo with rhinestones surounding it.

Yeah Mr.Toad, those shirts are pretty sweet and I love how they're simple. Where did you get them done at? I wanted to make my own VMK shirt but I found out it was kind of expensive for one shirt. Anyone have any suggestions? ALso, howz the quality with Zazzle and Cafepress? If you make a shirt with one of those companies, can you put your own image on the shirt (sorry i dont know how it works).

Disneian, what did you decide about your shirt? And if you can, post it on here so we can see!

And whoever has the "Figment is the shiznet" shirt, can you post it for us?! That is awesome.

Thanks

Thanks all. I made them myself. I own a heat press. I sell Tote Bags and shirts as a business, these were for my daughter though.

I've been making my own t-shirts and wearing them to the parks for years. ^_^ Most of them are Pirates shirts, and I don't have images of most of them handy, but I do happen to have two of them in my Magic photo album....

My first made t-shirt ever....

And one of my favourites ^_^:

Obviously made around the same time. :)

Yeah -- look at it this way -- would you want to have to explain to your child why a man had a shirt implying that tigger was in jail? That's the one thing I never really liked about those "Ask Mickey why Winnie The Pooh killed Mr Toad" shirts back in the day.

I'VE never seen those shirts....but its a great question.

The site is still up that was trying to save our dear Toad. This is a link to what the shirts looked like: http://www.math.miami.edu/~jam/toad/shirt.html

I agree as much as I hated to see what happened with Toad that I would not think those shirts should be worn in the parks. There is already enough to explain to my daughter about what we see in the parks without adding that in.

Great shirts, MrToad! I know your daughter will enjoy wearing them.

Thanks. She already had the Living Seas one on yesterday though I had to make her put on a long sleeve underneath as for some reason Winter decided to show up out of the blue. I guess it realized that January is here and that we are supposed to have some cold weather. My daughter has been complaining that she is going to have to make a grass snowman soon so maybe, just maybe we won't have to resort to that...

Okay I have to put my two cents in on this whole discussion.

I really don't think there will be anyone that really noticies a Free Tigger, or Tigger Balboa or any other shirt uless there is a huge influx of these shirts. Then someone might pay a little attention.

I love DW but I think we are giving to much weight to the CMs paying attention to what the guests wear.

I say this because when I was at MK this past Oct. I saw a whole family that was dressed very inappropriately. The father of this group had on a leather vest that was full of patches with the "F" word and devil symbols and other things inappropriate in a family setting:eek: . They were also on his t-shirt, pants and hat.

For all of you that are now going to say that these people were in costume for MNSSHP, maybe, but I don't think so. Regardless that sort of stuff should not be allowed. This was also early in the day before the party and I saw this family a couple of times during the day and the dress never changed.

Maybe because the guy was scary looking security never said anything and noone complained, I don't know. All I can think is that if CMs did nothing about this guy, why would they bother with a mocking shirt that said Free Tigger even if it had a picture of Tigger.

That is really too bad about the swears on the guys clothing. That stuff bothers me as kids should not be seeing that anywhere. I can't stand it even if I am at a local mall and see people wearing things they should not be. Or the people who feel that free speech means you can say anything in front of anyone. I don't need my daughter to hear some teen dropping f bombs left and right while walking past us in the mall. Don't get me wrong, I can be pretty bad with swearing but mine is mostly active while I am trying and failing badly to do some sort of home renovation thing  and no kids are present.

There is a time and a place for everything.

Mrtoad you are right on track in my opinion. I cannot say I was too surprised to see some inappropriate dress. It happens. The stuff that was all over this guy did shock me. It was so much that I think it was openly hostile. I was there with just my wife, but I know if I had kids with me I would have walked the other way and complained.

No that anyone should be subject to seeing that but I am surprised that he was allowed into the park. He had two young kids with him and obviously didn't care that what he was wearing was completely inappropriate. I believe in freedom of expression, but this guy's clothing was beyond that to hostility. I am kind of sorry that I did not say anything.

It is too bad when people do not respect the line of good taste and decency. I would have applauded Disney for kicking that guy out of the park.

I think it depends on the senerio. One year while attending a Y.E.S. (Disney's Youth Education Series) class, one of my students sneaked past me wearing a shirt that had @$$ on it. He was asked to turn it inside out by the instructor (I called home that day, got his Mom on phone and handed it to dear student:o ). On the flip side, my DD(12 at last visit) downloaded and printed a picture of Tinkerbell on iron-on paper. She decorated the picture with fabric paint and surrounded the iron on with glitter painted "pixie dust" and included a hidden mickey in it. Two CMs had a great time looking for the mickey and praised DD for her art work. No mention of copyright..........an inside teacher joke is that copyright means we can copy, right?
