What are your favorite free things to do / see at Disney World? Mine would have to be all the ice I can get from the drink stands and ketchup packets. Is there really anything for free??

God bless the "Ignore" button.
When a friend and I took the DVC tour (we were at WDW but trying to not spend any money, so... no parks) it culminated in free ice cream and, I think, $20 gift cards! I did legitimately wanna give the info to my parents, but our bag full of info and whatnot never made it to our hotel room. :(

Anyone can drive into Fort Wilderness, take a bus to the Meadow Trading Post, and join in on the campfire sing-a-long! You can meet and greet with Chip and Dale and watch a movie at their outdoor theater. (I suggest bringing your own smores if you want them.) One of the best often overlooked free things in WDW;)

Most resorts now have outdoor movie viewing.

Free water @ counter service. You can ask for a cup of water and receive it @ no charge.

The free giant pretzel, ice cream and random desserts at quick service spots that my wife and I received when we visited last month...all it took was a Anniversary celebration pin.

Actually most of the time it is good. The water is the same used for making the soda and is highly filtered. The regular tap water from the water fountains is disgusting and I would have to be near complete dehydration before I would even take a sip of it.

I'll have to don that more often then... I find myself at the water fountain more because I don't want to wait in line to get a free cup of water, but man is that fountain water bad! haha
