So if the animals aren't pacing back and forth that means they aren't depressed? Also animals aren't allowed to move around? They HAVE to sit still?

I was asking a question. If you are going to continue responding with questions we won't get very far and I will have to continue accepting my conclusion that you just post crap to see your self post ( sort of like talking just to hear yourself talk).

I am expressing how I feel about captvity. You asked a dumb question. I am not going to be submissive. I think SeaWorld, AK, Epcot have pluses and minuses but the cons outweigh the pros more often than not. every comment you have ever replied to me has been rude, negative, or passive aggressive. Calm down.

I'm not going to be submissive either....please stop being a bully.

Why are you picking and choosing which arguments to fight?

Exactly, she refuses to give me any kind of grounded, worthwhile answer.

I don't have time to reply to everybody I have things to do. I don't sit behind a screen all day.

Yet, here you are replying and posting all day every day. And making multiple, useless threads at that.

Nobody said you have to sit behind a screen all day, but my point was almost all of your replies centered around the captivity argument and not the overall picture when it comes to whales and dolphins. There have been well thought out responses in this thread and none of them have been acknowledged. Only the ones that revolve around the tanks at Epcot.

Not trying to stir the pot (while probably stirring the pot), but I was always under the impression that the dolphins at EPCOT were either rescued or they were born in captivity. Also, they are always backstage when we visit the Seas and we've never even seen a stinking dolphin... so to follow the argumentative style of "if i can't see it, then it doesn't exist" I refuse to believe there are even dolphins there in the first place.
Finally, unless the living quarters are absolutely abysmal, which is illegal I'm pretty sure, animals kept in captivity were more than likely born in captivity and are perfectly fat and happy where they are. Just like the OP's overly emotional dog would probably die if it were to be left in the wild to its own devices, so would any animal that was freed from captivity after spending its whole life there. Not sure which you think would be more cruel, but I'm going with the zoo's on this one.
