Free QS Dining PIN Question

Not that I'll actually be able to use it, but I just got a PIN code in my email for free QS Dining (I forget the exact dates...it's like thru June or something). It doesn't say in the email but I'm just curious if anyone knows if it's possible to pay the difference to upgrade to the regular dining plan. :shrug:

I have read conflicting stories. Either way, you can upgrade I believe. The first story is that you can upgrade to the regular dining plan for half price. The second story is that you can upgrade by paying the difference.

You can upgrade and just pay the difference between the dining plan that's being offered for free, and the upgraded dining plan.

So to upgrade from a free Quick Service Dining Plan to the regular Dining Plan, it would be $11 per night for an adult, and $2 per night for a child.

Does anyone know if you can combine the free dining pincode with a room discount you already have? I got the room pincode & my friend got the dining pincode, our families are traveling together and our reservations are linked so we can use each other pincodes...just didnt know if you had to choose one or the other.:shrug:

No. You can not combine promotions.

I was told by Disney that if you had a PIN code for free QS Dining, to upgrade would be half price the regular or half price the deluxe dining plan (not the difference between the two).

Though, paying the difference between the two might actually be half anyway (I haven't crunched the numbers). :hammer:

If it is indeed half price then the upgrade is not all that great of a deal at least when comparing the DDP and the QS plan. The QS plan is $30 the DDP is $40. If you were paying the difference it would be $10 if you get the DDP for half price then it would cost you $20 or twice as much.
