I was wondering if the free dining offered during late Aug and Sept. is good for anyone staying at Any Disney resort or do you have to be staying at certain resorts?

From my understanding, Disney only sets aside a certain number of rooms per resort for the offer, so it is quite possible that they may not make it available at all the resorts. It's most likely based on sales and how well the resort is sold without the discount for that time period. I'm sure there are many factors involved.

In 2007, folks booked at All-Star Sports with free dining were upgraded to Saratoga Springs in order to make room for other (non-free dining) reservations at Sports. Lucky ducks!

I thiiink (not positive) I heard that the UK or bounceback or some kinda offer for next year is moderate resorts get the quick service plan free, deluxe resorts get the regular plan free while no deal for value resorts. So it's possible that will the offer for everyone next year.

I hope I'm wrong because that stinks, but I think I read that here somewhere.

You have to book when they are holding the promotion, and I believe each resort only has so many packages available. I say this because I had booked mine in June right before the promotion ended. At that point there were no Value resort packages left. But, if you wanted to book just the hotel, without the deal, I think that was available.

FYI- If you book the free dining, you can make some changes to the trip, but they will not let you change resorts...this makes me believe they only have so many packages.
