Free Dining plan help?!

My wife and I have Annual passes, but in order to take part in the free dining plan we have to book the minimum of two two day tickets in addition to our resort of choice. I have heard from others on here that if you do not use the days on those tickets, you can in turn use the value of them towards renewing your annual passes.

My question is, what is the value of these tickets? Are they worth the $391.92 that Disney has as the base price for two two day passes being sold on their site without hotels/food/etc ?

Thanks

Hi Black, Approximately yes. The trade in value of the tickets never really breaks out cleanly from a package but it is pretty close. Also keep in mind that you MUST apply the tickets towards your AP renewal in person, you cannot do this through the mail or over the phone. Hope this helps!! Marie

Thanks so much! We are just trying to toss the numbers to get the best bang for buck and wanted to make sure we were figuring in the free dining plan offer correctly. So far it seems that the cheapest may in fact be going through hotels.com with promo codes and just doing dining separately.

I've got Animal Kingdom Lodge Pool view for 7 days down to $1452 ($1377 after cash back), and Am debating over the cheaper Coronado Springs that I have never stayed at before for $973 ($922 after cash back) and doing all of our own dining without the plan.

Yup it's official, Going to AKL without dining plan. Much cheaper to just get everything we want individually with the deal I found.

Be sure you priced it against an discount offer that Disney has to be sure you got the best deal. Marie

I hope I tried all of the combinations and discount offers I could think of and find. The cheapest AKL offer I found directly from Disney with their 30% off deal was $1631 for the same dates and room.
