Free dining offer question

Today I received an email offer from Disney destinations for what looks like free dining in the late fall of 2012. After the offer it reminds me to contact disney with my pin. However, there is no pin listed. Is this unusual? I've never received an offer without a pin listed.....

Update - my husband and I both received emails last night again with this offer. The subject line read "Oh My! We forgot your Walt Disney World savings pin last time." The PIN is now available on both of our emails. Hopefully anyone else with this same issue receives a new message from Disney soon!

I build both into my budget..the DDP has been great my last two trips...and with Downtown Disney now accepting the Dining Plan...it is even a better deal.

We are going the exact same dates, but we are staying at CSR. The other family traveling with us received an email last night. I contacted my travel agent and are hoping we can piggy back on their offer.

We didn't receive a PIN, but I called to check if there were any in our name. Free dining was. We are still staying at All Star Sports, but have the dining plan with the sit down meal and quick service meal. We still saved $300 off our previous price.

I had my travel agent call to see if we can get free dining since we are going to be October 29- November 4 and they said they couldn't do it without the pin number. I'm upset:cry: and I have gotten every other disney destination email because this is our first trip and they want us to book with them.

Just received word back from our agent and we now have free dining:sohappy::sohappy:

Ended up saving us almost $1,000. For all of those that say it isn't worth it 1,000 dollars is a lot of money to me. It also means that I will be attending 2 halloween parties now instead of just one.

Call Disney directly to see if they have a pin associated with your name. You may be pleasantly surprised.

If not, don't worry. They almost always start selling "free" dining to the general public before the date approaches.

Got our pin today

Booked our December trip a little while ago with the Dining plan pin. I'll probably upgrade it to the Deluxe plan later in the year. Just glad to be able to book so early. Now just have to wait till June to start making dining reservations.

Thanks for the advice. I did call disney directly there is no pin associated with my name or address. So I just have to hope and pray that free dining email will come or it will be released to the public for our vacation dates 10/29-11/4/12. I'm a single parent so any savings would help for us to have a better vacation.

who is Disney Destinations? how do you get Pin# from them:shrug:

Good question on the pin, lol. I went for about ten years before I started getting pins.

I took my sister and her kids one time...she got a pin almost immediately. And she didn't buy anything in her name. She didn't sign up for anything Disney. She didn't even like Disney all that much.

I have no idea how it works, really.

But they don't just sell "free" dining with pins. They sell it to everyone, eventually. At least they have ever since they started this whole "free" dining thing. They're making a fortune on this "free" dining thing. No way they won't give you the opportunity to buy it.

So true!

So many people have said to "do the math" because it's almost always more expensive than say 30% off room rates, but I just don't see how. When my DH and I go and stay at POFQ 30% off would save us probably between $50-$60/day, where free dining saves us at least $100/day. When we went with our 2 daughters and got free dining, it saved us over $1000 for a 6 day stay.

I am telling you that you will save on the free dining plan! If you know how to book ADRs early and can book some of the more "expensive" restaurants such as the buffets and character dining ( even signature if you can manage 2 TS credits) it is well worth it!:)

Having room discounts is great too! You still save.
Check out the "bounce back" rates as well!:)
