free admission?

I have a friend who is going to WDW with her boyfriend. She was told that her boyfriend's cousin (who works for disney... they didn't say where or what he does) could get them in free to the parks if they go with him.

My questions (since this seems like it doesn't have a lot of info to back it up):
1. Is this true? Can you get in free with a Disney employee?
2. If it is true, can they park hop without the employee along?
3. If it is true, can they still somehow get to use fastpass? if they don't have a ticket, how would fastpass work?

thanks!

ALL OF THAT IS TRUE!!!!

My Aunt, Grandma, and Cousin all work for disney(2 are at resorts, one works at animal Kingdom) each cast member gets a certain amount of passes every so often. My family has never paid to get into the parks.

when you get in the park, you get a pass like everyone else so you can still use fastpass.

Also you can park hop. we normally meet up with my relatives at Epcot, look around for about 30 minutes, then take the monorail to Magic Kingdom.
its a pretty sweet deal if you know anyone who works with disney:ROFLOL:

This is true for almost all theme parks in the country. My uncle used to work at King's Dominion and he would give us free passes every so often. Now if only I knew somebody that worked at Disney.

Wow, that's cool. I knew someone who worked down there when I last went, but I decided I didn't want to bother him, especially if this whole free thing was not true. Now I'm kicking myself :)

Depending on what type of Cast Member they are, they will only be able to get a certain number of free passes per year. Each employee gets a pass (Blue Pass, Silver Pass, etc.) depending on rank, and each allows a different number of free guests.

I don't know for sure, but just a guess would be that the CM blackout dates may follow approximately the blackout dats for the FL Resident Seasonal Pass, which is blacked out for most holiday periods and a good chunk of the summer.

My dad had the silver pass when he worked there and he was able to get 4 people in for free ( not counting himself )each time when he took us.You get a 1 day park hopper pass and also cast members spouses get a card too as my stepmom had one but hers could only get her and 3 others in as she would be the 4th person.

Hmm i've never heard of the blackout dates. we must have gotten very lucky then because we have went in November between Thanksgiving and Christmas and also in the summer months and spring break and have never had an issue
