I'm actually pretty scared about this one. The storm could have category 2+ force winds in central Florida. And that little 2 AM Sunday marker? That's just about Disney.

I'm leaving the state this weekend (going up to Georgia or the Carolinas) and packing up the cave (and backing up this computer!) I am praying for everyone in Central Florida --

Stock up NOW and clear ALL DEBRIS AROUND YOUR HOUSES. Board up!

I'll check in a few times and monitor the hurricane this weekend. Stay safe, okay??

TURN AWAY, FRANCES!

Take care everyone in this storms path!

PLEASE if you are going to leave, do so early, don't wait until the last day!

Lets not have a replay on 1999 Floyd , when evacuations were back up forever!!

God bless the people in harms way!

The hurricane center this morning said IF there was a cold front from Colorado (?) it would lessen the intensity of this storm. ok, sure.

Looks like my state is going to have a nice rainy 3 day weekend.

I have family vacationing Daytona Beach right now - haven't spoken to
them yet. Hope they are too busy packing to answer the phone.

Hugs, kisses & prayers to all my family and friends in Florida. BE SAFE!!!

The thought of everyone going thru another storm like this so soon is incomprehensible...please everyone, do what needs to be done to stay safe. Will be sending good thoughts your way.

I'm in Fort Lauderdale, but I'm not getting my panties in a twist just yet. Two days ago, it was heading straight for us. Yesterday it was heading for the Carolinas. It seems that hurricane forecasting is only slightly better than earthquake forecasting.

If/when it comes, I'll pull down the hurricane shutters and hope for the best.

Our local news is covering this heavily because I am on the coast of Alabama (just about 30 miles west of Pensacola). They said last night that this storm is so big, that it would cover from Mobile, AL (just west of me) to Jacksonville. That is the biggest storm I've ever seen!!!!!! Looks like all of us along the coast are going to get some of it, unless a miracle happens.

Praying for a miracle now!!!!

Good luck everyone in its path!!!! I am battening down the hatches!!!

I never had to work through a hurricane, but when I lived down there I did have to work when there were wildfires coming right toward us.

Stay safe !

I hope that if it hits the Orlando area, that most of the places stay intact... except for Dinorama. But seriously I hope that there isn't as much damage, as people still are still trying to recover from Charley.

Wow after Charley came through I thought that would be it and now another is heading straight for us. Ill be riding it out at my house, this should be interesting. I'd better tie down the cows and horses this time. I dont want one flying through my window. Good luck to everyone else in its path. Hey maybe we should have a WDWMagic shelter for all of us to go to if worse comes to worse.
