FP+ for Be Our Guest - A Tale of Two CMs With Conflicting Information: What's the Real Deal?

Hmm... I just had a similar experience to what @lebeau said earlier; I logged in and was able to access times through June 1. I actually would rather book later in that week, maybe Thursday or Friday, but that Sunday was the latest day I could book (and the only day for now since that's the day we check in). It would work if I knew for sure that we would be in the park by then, but I really don't want to be that rushed, so it's a no-go for now. I'm going to keep an eye out for the rest of the week to open up.

It seems like those who are in the know and vigilant don't have to worry about being shut out - for now anyway.

Yeah, and I'm very thankful that everyone here is so open and willing to share what they know; now if I could just quit obsessing LOL (not just about lunch at BoG, but just over the trip in general)

Of course, this is all giving me something to look forward to and is making my job much more palatable ;)

Perhaps this is a silly question.....I was able to reserve a fast past for BOG for lunch but it doesn't show up on the my disney experience app. Am I supposed to link them somehow or should this just show up automatically?

It won't show up. It's not currently part of MDE.

I know exactly what you mean. I'm actually backing away from planning a little this trip compared to the last one. But I have spent the last two weeks obsessing over ADRs and FP selections. Now that those are set, I'm ready to chill out a little bit. At least until Disney makes an announcement about FP changes. Then I'll need to make some changes of my own.

I have total OCD when it comes to planning our WDW trips. It's the reason why I like the Magic Bands and Fast Pass + so much. To have even more control over our visit, it's like a dream come true. When they expand FP+ to more then three at a time, it's gonna be like the greatest day in my life.

See, and this is where my conundrum is; on one hand, the idea of having to plan this much of a vacation is kinda out of my norm, because when we're on vacation we like to be able to "wing it." DH has been absolutely NO help in planning any of this, even though the whole thing was HIS idea. Every time I ask his opinion, he just says, "whatever makes you happy, dear..." (why can't he be this way about other things in life... lol) So, not only am I obsessed with this, but he is bucking the idea of planning any of this so far out, so it's making me paranoid that I'm making choices that he's going to not like, thus ruining our entire trip.

I'm keeping an eye on the latest rumors/articles that pop up here and watching for the BoG FP+ for the dates I want... after that, I'm going to have to make myself step away from the computer haha.

One thing that is a bit comforting is that touringplans currently has the day we plan to spend at HS as a "5" on their crowd calendar. I can't look any further ahead than that without buying a premium membership, but if the patterns for that week match the four weeks before that, it looks like the rest of my week will be pretty easy to manage crowd-wise as well, as long as we stay away from HS on Friday.

But here's the thing. Once you burn through your three FPs as early in the morning as you can (when you don't really need them) you're basically back to the old FP system of getting one FP at a time from whatever is available in the pool. So, maybe not so life-changing after all.

This is part of the reason why I'm not changing my FP+ to first thing in the morning... we don't like to get up early anyway, so I doubt we'll be getting to the parks before ten am most days. So, at that point, I figure we'll use our reserved FP+ choices from around 11 am into the middle of the afternoon, and then go from there. Seems pointless to waste them on morning FP+ when we're not morning people and we don't know for sure that going through them by noon will guarantee the availability we want.

Copying and pasting won't work. Here's the breakdown by day:

6/1 - MK 7, EP 5, DHS 7, DAK 7
6/2 - MK 7, EP 6, DHS 5, DAK 7
6/3 - MK 8, EP 7, DHS 6, DAK 6
6/4 - MK 7, EP 5, DHS 8, DAK 7
6/5 - MK 7, EP 5, DHS 5, DAK 6
6/6 - MK 6, EP 6, DHS 8, DAK 7

Hope that helps.

Wow... awesome! All of my original plans line up with this perfectly! Good to know :) thanks so much @lebeau

ETA... you may find this humorous; here's what I had sketched out, even before you shared that week's calendar with me:

Sunday MK (for the night time EMH)
Monday HS
Tuesday AK in the am, DTD that night
Wednesday Epcot

So your post just reiterated what I had already been thinking: Thursday will be revising AK and HS, and Friday will be revising Epcot and MK.

I'm a little too excited now LOL

ETA: ugh... both "revisings" should have said "revisit" lol

Can anyone with experience with a BOG Fastpass+ within the last week or two clue us in on how it's being done right now?

I had to call Disney's restaurant reservation and computer tech./FP+ lines today about a couple of different issues. This is what I learned (or didn't learn!) from two CMs who told me completely different things when I asked how to obtain (or look for) a lunchtime FP+ for BOG:

The restaurant reservation CM said: WDW is sending out BOG FP+ invitations solely through e-mail. It's only to onsite guests, but whether you get one is luck-of-the-draw and totally random, both as far as who they select, and when they hear about it. The only thing you can do is keep checking your e-mail. If you don't get an invitation, you can't make a BOG FP+, even if you have the link to the reservation site. (This seems to conflict with some anecdotal reports on this forum by guests who were able to use the link to make BOG Fp+, even though they were never "invited" to do so, by e-mail or otherwise.)

The computer/FP+ CM said: (1) WDW was sending random BOG FP+ invitations to onsite guests ahead of time, but that practice has been discontinued and FP+ are no longer being offered in advance. Instead, WDW e-mails randomly selected onsite guests immediately prior to check-in (like, on the day they're due to arrive) to tell them that they can make a BOG FP+. I said, "how will I even know if I get an e-mail? We'll spend half of our arrival day on a plane, and I don't have a Smartphone by which to access e-mails." She said, "ask about it when you check-in. If you've been randomly selected for the opportunity to make a BOG FP+, the CM will be able to see that in your reservation information. If the CM doesn't mention it to you when you're checking in, ask them to check and see if you've been selected. If you have, then the CM will be able to help you make the FP+ at that time for BOG."

What the heck!??! Does anybody have any actual knowledge of which story (if any) is correct? Asking a CM at check-in to make me a FP+ for BOG just sounds bizarre, but who knows? I'm 48 days away from arrival and starting to get anxious!
We did not get the e-mail but were able to successfully make a reservation using the link that was provided here. I did find, however, that you only have 30 minutes to finish the transaction. If you don't, you have to come back the next day. You are limited to the number of people in your room reservation. Since my daughters and their husbands have their own rooms, we all needed to make our own reservations. By the time I got ahold of them, my 30 minutes was up and I couldn't make a reservation. No problem the next day when I got a new 30 minutes. Also, if the time you need isn't showing there, keep refreshing the page until it gives you an option you like. You also have to choose whether you are actually ordering your meal right then or not.

Anyone able to do this with a Swan or Dolphin confirmation number? My mom is desperate to eat here and we are not thrilled about waiting in the lunch line and can't get a dinner res. Visiting 5/2-5/5

I tried last night for June 2nd and couldn't get it. I tried just now and was able to get June 2nd. I tried for June 5th as well, but that wasn't open yet. So far we have one dinner and one lunch at BoG. We have done lunch before and enjoyed it. Now we are looking forward to trying dinner. Good luck to those still waiting!

@Dwarful so the 2nd opened up today? Interesting... maybe they're releasing them a day at a time now... that would make it more inline with FP+ and ADR procedures in terms of being able to book things a certain number of days out... just a theory. I'll keep logging in once a day or so until I see the 6th lol.

Yes. The 2nd opened up today. It wasn't available before I went to work...which was very early in the AM central time. But when I just looked it was available to I grabbed our time that worked with our FPs. I also plan on checking daily because my ultimate plan was June 5th but I grabbed the 2nd because it would also work with our MK day.
