Four Parks.One World.But What World.?

To me its a sense of imagination combined with an atmosphere of relaxation. Whether its sentimental value from when i was younger or the idea that i can have fun doing so many different things, what it really does is make you feel that sense of wonder you had about the world when you were a child. To me thats the biggest thing. It makes me lose the Jaded part of me, that is around when not traveling.

No
My kids don't cry when they leave a theme park but they do at Disney when we leave the room for the last time.
Your kids and I are on the same level. I always tear up when I leave the room and again when I pull out of the main entrance. :(

For me it's the way that magic becomes a literal reality. There's so many memories there and every time I start planning another trip all I can think about are how many new memories are going to be made. Life just simply feels beautiful in WDW. :)

I get get bad to when I leave it. Once I hit off property it hits me and the magic is gone.

To me, and the company in general. Sadly.
Sorry you feel that way.I know that when I get fed up with something,I just move on to something new, rather than give the doom & gloom weather forecast, especially as there's so many out there reading these threads that haven't been to WDW.So to all you folks who have booked your vacation.Go and have a magical time.;)

That's fine. When I stop loving I probably will. Until then i'll lament what used to be.

Remember, we all used to feel like you do. We've just seen things when they were better.

So I guess you got the job then?

Just been reading the " Park Memories " thread.Great stories, some happy, some sad,but great memories all the same. But how would you sum up WDW.? Someone once said here, and I quote," it's only a theme park " is it.? Well to me it's a land where Families young & old get together.A land where they are 33 resorts to stay at.Hundreds of restaurants to choose from.Theres water parks, golf courses, shops galore, nighttime entertainment districts, live shows, firework displays, the list goes on and on.Now the reason I brought this question up." What World " is to find out how would you describe WDW as a whole. My Disney party in three weeks will have people who think Disney World is just another theme park in Florida. So before I get on my monorail to Disney dreams tonight. What makes WDW different than any other.? ;)Your answers please.

Walt Disney World defines magic. Everything else is just smoke and mirrors.

Thats kinda sad. That to me is like a marriage going downhill.Your in the minority on this site. Most threads I read are happy and not reflecting in the old days, which I didn't know.As far as the job I got.Yes! I've got a happy face,as most people here do.Sorry you haven't.:(

I was there in the Glory days of the 80's and some things aren't as good! But overall things are much better so much more to see and do!!! Even back then if you looked close enough ................!!! get the picture it's all perspective

So Disney is not perfect.. To me it's pretty close! I am not happy w some recent price increases but they are everywhere! We do not get to eat a character or signature dining every night... But you know that's ok! This is the truth.. You adjust to the changes or you move on... Let's get back to the beautiful point to the original thread... What does the World mean to you..... ? :)
