Fountain of Nations is in horrid condition

Does anyone what is up with the Fountain of Nations lately? For the last 2-3 months (maybe longer) the fountain is either completely shut off or performing with only 3 fountains working. Is there maintenance being performed on the fountain or is it just in disrepair (again)?

It worked incredibly well in Mid July. I was actually amazed at how great it looked both during shows and off shows. I had not had time to watch the fountain in my past couple of visits but I took the time to do so recently.

I experienced the same. Actaully I was impressed how well it was working .

I was there in early to mid July and the fountain worked great. The shows looked to be functioning solidly. If something is wrong with the fountain it might be more recently than 1-2 months.

They really have to overhaul the entire fountain and replace every thing except for the concrete. Sadly if they did that I don't think the music would be the same and probably all Disney soundtracks.

I guess you guys just have higher standards or levels of satisfaction. I have never found anything wrong with the sound and wouldn't know if a "nozzle" is working or not. I must be just the type of rube that Disney plans for.

To me it's a good show that I enjoy watching. I don't remember all the details from the last time I saw it, I don't have a favorite part of it that would make me wonder why it was missing. I just don't qualify as a Disney connoisseur. I will bet that I enjoy my trips more then some though because I'm not all boggled down with demands for individual perfection. I think that it is a perfect example of how too much detailed knowledge can be a major roadblock to complete enjoyment. I think I will just stay with being fat, dumb and happy.:)

It's quite easy.

If you can't hear any music there's something wrong with the sound.

If large sections of the show have nothing happening there's something wrong with the nozzles.

Here's an acknowledgment that the audio problem has finally been realised. Show wise less than perfect but it's a start:

I have a serious question. How does anyone know that didn't program the fountain what is or isn't working either properly or not at all? I have seen it dozens of times and never bothered to commit to memory every movement the fountain made. And even if I had, how would I know that they didn't change something intentionally? Silly me!
Videos of when it was working.

Thanks for the effort, but, I did not save any room in my memory file for what I saw last time. So it really wouldn't help me to study it. As I said, I will watch what I enjoy and what I don't, I won't. I like to keep my life simple like that. I'll leave all the fine detail memory work for you folks. I remember mostly places and times and what I saw, not what I think I should have seen. I'm not even arguing about if it is missing elements or not. I very well might be. I just don't care about all the stuff that others do, I guess. I, however, see many positive things that many others do not when it comes to the general quality of the parks. So, I've got that going for me.

What I saw in the video was two different programs. A different energy to the music and thus a different show. I would never have interpreted that as a mechanical issue as much as a creative issue that isn't awful, just different. The sound seemed pretty good in both.

When there last year we watched the entire show - with the Christmas music. The fountain had been serviced/overhauled about 3 years ago and it was working just fine, water cannons and all. We do note that WDW maint. is rather slip shod at times - but I expect that the fountain will be working just fine come this December. For some reason or other maintenance gets their act together each year for this holiday. (I'm only writing about the fountain - the remainder of the parks is something else -- you can tell that Walt and Roy are not with us.)

I thought it was in bad shape in 2006, this tops it. It makes me wonder if there letting it run into the ground or rebuilding the hardware, the scary part of that is what music would they use. The fact they actually went thru the lengths to use temporary speakers tells me there up to something. But if the super shooters and cannons start going off to the chorus line of Let it go I'm done.
