We just got back from FW and we tent camped in the 2000 loop (Spanish Moss Way). The picnic table was not chained to the ground. We moved it around to best fit our needs. We only had 1 10x12 tent set up. There was alot of room. I saw some sights with as many as 4 tents set up (most were smaller than ours). The only potential problem I could see with multible tents would be the amount of level ground within the site. The middle of our site was nice and level but it seemed to fall off quite a bit towards the edges. Hope this helps. We had a great time tent camping at FW.

We were able to move our picnic table.

As far as how many tents you can fit, I suppose it depends on the size of the tents. I was thinking that Disney had a limit, but I could be wrong. I'm sure they have a maximum number of people.

The only thing attached is the grill. We were there in November and had on our site my parent's 40 foot motor coach, a four man tent and a six man tent and there was still plenty of room for the picnic table and lawn chairs.

You can move it, but bring friends, those tables tend to be on the really heavy side. You will probally be able to fit around 3-4 tents, depending on size.

I bet you can answer my question.... Is it fairly quiet like a regular campground or noisier ? I have read comments on other sites about Ft Wilderness being a little loud and chaotic even late at night and am hoping your experience was more positive. Hey maybe those folks were trying to discourage others from camping!

Thanks:rolleyes:

While we were there( The second week in Feb ), the campground was pretty empty until the end of the week. There is a posted Quiet time but I can`t remember exactly what it is. Our experience was very peaceful and wonderful. One thing you need to know is that the buses start running pretty early. We are early risers so that didn`t bother us and we were so tired at night they didn`t bother us then either. We had the best time, can`t wait to go back!
