Fort Wilderness Lodge Cabin

I'm assuming you're referring to the Cabins at Fort Wilderness. There is Fort Wilderness, which is the campground that includes the cabins and the Wilderness Lodge which is a separate resort close to Fort Wilderness.

As to the cabins, they have a full kitchen so yes you can purchase food offsite and prepare it in the cabin. I pulled this off allears.net as to what the kitchen includes.

Kitchen includes:
full-size refrigerator with icemaker
electric stove
microwave
dishwasher
1 4-cup coffee maker (with 1 filter-pack of coffee)
1 10 cup coffee maker (stored in cupboard)
toaster
tea kettle
flatware for 6: forks, salad forks, teaspoons, soups spoons, knives and steak knives
dinnerware for 6: mugs, cereal bowls, dinner plates, dessert plates
6 handled mason jar glasses
1 serving spoon
1 glass measuring cup
1 2 qt. pitcher
1 2 qt. casserole with lid
1 glass baking dish
1 oval platter
manual can opener
bottle opener
corkscrew
cutting board
bread knife
ladle
spatula
1 12" skillet
1 1 qt. saucepan with lid
1 2 qt. saucepan with lid
Dutch oven with lid
metal colander
spoon rest
2 potholders
2 sponges
4 cloth dish towels
fire extinguisher (under sink)
packets of dishwasher soap
liquid dish soap
paper towels (under sink)
trash bags (under sink)

NOT INCLUDED are salt, pepper, sugar (or sweetener), coffee, coffee filters, or small drinking glasses for the bathroom.

Here's a link to the information page for Fort Wilderness on allears.net http://allears.net/acc/faq_fw.htm

The reservation says Disney's Fort Wilderness Cabins. You know what I find funny, I fist told them I arrive Wednesday and leave Monday 5 nights. So out of the what thousands of rooms they have they cam to this choice. So I thought well tell them I stay off site Wednesday, then do a early checkin Thursday....... NO ROOMS !!!!!! How does this make sense they said 5 nights Wednesday to Monday is fine. .................................................4 nights Thursday to Monday No sorry? The same room available for 5 nights has to be available for 4 nights.

If you have the Gift Card promotion, you need a 5 night minimum stay.

Depending on how many in your party, you may not fit in a room anywhere else - the cabins can sleep 6 people, the majority of rooms on Disney property sleep 4 plus an infant. Once you reach 5 people or more, your choices become severely limited.

To OP, we stayed in a cabin for the first time back in December, it was wonderfull!!! The kitchen is great, has alot of cabinet space and everything you'd need for a short vacation. We loved staying in the cabins...so much room compared to standard hotel rooms. You will want to bring your own food though, because eating on site there's not alot of choices for breakfast unless you take the boat over to Wilderness Lodge, that was the only downside to staying in the cabin..but if you're doing your own food, it's not a problem.

I think what threw the first batch of responders is that the title of your post is "Fort Wilderness Lodge Cabin." It might seem petty, but there is a campground with cabins to rent called "Fort Wilderness," AND there's a resort nearby called "Wilderness Lodge" which consists of standard rooms as well as "Villas" which have either tiny studio style kitchenettes (tiny fridge coffee maker and a microwave) OR they have full kitchens with ovens and regular sized refrigerators. People just wanted to make sure you really meant Fort Wilderness, and that you had a cabin.

The Fort Wilderness cabins are great, especially in the 2500 Loop. We spent a week there last June, and the cabin was quite spacious (for four people), the kitchen was more than adequate (there's also a charcoal grill right next to the deck), and the loop was right next to the smaller of the two pools in the resort, along with the washer and dryer facilities. I'd love to go back there, but the family JUST has to try the Beach Club for our next vacation. :)

I was good but too expensive for single guest. If you have a family of 5 and you cooked meals instead buying you could save enough money to make if worthwhile. I should of stayed off park.
