Yeah...given his spot on the team was connected to the sponsorship...it was gonna be tough for him.

I do think this has to do more with Uralkali and the old man than the kid…being the kid was only getting the seat because of the old man.

I was kinda hoping that if Haas didn’t go with a proven veteran they would have at least gone with a different American, like Herta. Yes, I know technically Fittipaldi has dual citizenship, but that kid is American. Lol.

The first reports are coming in that Mazepin has been dropped and will replaced by Pietro Fittipaldi.

I never bother with the testing . Merc were pants last seasons testing and look how that turned out. The true test is race 1.

True…but pre-season testing is pretty different this year. The two dates are further apart at completely different tracks with bay whole new car.

Seems like a trend. Ones associated with Russia are out among other things, including the sports world. Haas has dropped Mazepin and cut ties with their main Russian sponsor.

Well…all the reports on the new Haas driver were wrong. Lol. It’s Magnussen. Looks like a multi year deal. So it kinda sounds like the only reason he was let go was because of the original Uralkali deal.
