Trip Report Forget about your worries and your strife. 🌞 Live trip report.

Quick recap of my pre-trip report to refresh memories or as just as catchup.
I (Mimi) am going on a solo trip to Disney World, 14 glorious days at AKL to do what I want, when I want.:joyfull:

This morning I woke up excited and ready to go, I threw the last things into my suitcase, double checked everything and happily went out in the rain to catch the bus to the train station. I gave myself plenty of time to get to the airport incase of delays etc. but luckily everything went smoothly and I arrived at the airport with plenty of time to share.
I looked around the shops a bit and took some photos to kill the time.

These cups in a cafe don't spin but are cute none the less.

Finally it was time to board my first flight.

This add made me smile as it was spot on.:)

The flight from Amsterdam to London was only 50 minutes and kind of boring except for the 2 Dutch ladies sitting in the row behind me. They were very unhappy that none of the flight attendants spoke Dutch, keep in mind that this was a British Airways flight, and complained loudly that it shouldn't be allowed for airlines to fly out of Amsterdam without at least one Dutch speaking crew member and the ladies refused to speak English to the crew. I didn't understand their logical at all and was happy the crew members didn't understand what they were saying. I was tempted to turn around to point out their stupidity but refrained. 🙊

Soon enough we landed safely at Gatwick, my hotel was easy to find and the check in staff were friendly and professional. My room is as expected, small and modern.

The shower is right in front of the toilet without a barrier:hilarious: not the best layout but fine for just a night.

No view as my room doesn't have a window.
Now I am just watching some TV, wishing it was tomorrow.:)

My mom wanted Sleep Aid, my sister wanted fibre gummies and one of my brother's wanted Hanes black socks. None of these things you can buy in The Netherlands.

My husband and I had a little giggle over the Hanes black socks, it just seems like a simple thing to want. My husband likes that brand too and understands why he would want them. :)

I also love how much you are using your balcony, it seems as if you are doing a lot in the parks and still taking time to relax. Well done!

Thanks, the parks are great but can get a little overwhelming with so many people and that's why I love my balcony. The peace, quiet and view are worth every penny I paid for it.

After Muppets I checked the time TSMM but at 9.30 it was at 140 minutes. I like that ride but not enough to wait that long.
The Voyage of the Little Mermaid was starting soon so I went there instead. Showing its age but I ♥ Ariel so still enjoyed it.
Star Lord was receiving visitors fromarth from 10am onwards and I love Guardians of the Galaxy so had to go say hello.
It was a nice meet and greet, we talked about music and how Groot is loving the tunes.

I browses the shop a bit looking for some Groot merchandise I might want to buy but nothing tickled my fancy.
I watched the March of the First Order mostly because it was impossible to move since every one had stopped.
I circled the park looking at the new window displays and new buildings etc. just enjoying being there.

As I was walking past the doors opened for the Frozen Sing Along, hoping for different Historians I found a seat.

Some jokes feel very forced but overall it was good.
I was getting a bit hungry and thanks to this forum I knew where to go.

I found a seat at the bar and ordered a lemonade and the fried garlic cheese. This was so delicious!

I sat and enjoyed the ambiance for a bit before making my way back to the bus stop but not before picking up this little beauty.

I have always wanted to try one of these! I learned they look better than they taste while sitting on my balcony having a rest.
There were a plethora of animals out today, including a nursing baby. :inlove:

I had my last FP for FoP this morning, I got to AK right at opening but took my time walking to Pandora. Stopped for some pictures along the way.

DSC_1020.JPG

I made my way to the FP lane for FoP only to be blocked by an irate man, his wife and 3 kids. The man was yelling at the CMs that he paid over $500 to enter the park, no way was he going to stand in line for 3 hours etc.etc. The CM tried to explain the FP system and that all guests had paid to be there and asked the family to please step aside but the man refused to move saying he would move when he was allowed in the FP lane. Soon after a Disney suit arrived and asked the man to step aside so they could discuss the problem, the man was about to start shouting again when 2 burly security guards also showed up. The man and his family finally moved aside to let the now long line of FP people pass.
I was very impressed with the CMs dealing with this jerk. They stayed calm and polite but didn't give in. Everyone in the FP line agreed the man was an idiot for thinking he could show up to the most popular ride in WDW and bully his way on.:devilish:
After all that drama it was time to fly!
DSC_1018.JPG

This ride gets better every time I ride it. So much amazing details, truly breathtaking and exhilarating.

Next up I went cub hunting, I had actually never walked the
DSC_1022.JPG

So another first for me! Unfortunately the cubs were out of view, I waited around for quite some time but had no luck. I passed the time by talking to the CM about Sumatra tigers and the cubs. The cubs gain about 3 pounds a week, same as me in WDW.:joyfull:
They will stay with their mother for about 2 years at AK, so you can see them in November @Longers but they won't be small anymore.
I wanted to try the cheeseburger pod so I mobile ordered it while walking back to Pandora, I also tried the chocolate dessert.
I can't say I liked the pod, the chocolate cake was okay but I liked the cheesecake dessert I had last week a lot better.

Sorry about your experience with the irate man!! Fop brings out the worst in some people! We were getting strapped in and the woman next to me refused to lean forward because she said she was claustrophobic. The cm said she had to either move up fully or exit the ride. She kept insisting she didn’t need to be fully forward and I was surprised at how professional the CM was. Eventually she gave in and got off, I felt bad for both parties!

That's too bad that she decided to leave but fully undestand CMs enforce the rules, with so many people it is impossible to accommodate every individual, I can understand asking a CM if something is possible, what I don't understand is people being complete jerks and insisting the rules don't apply to them.

We just had the same goggle about the socks. My dh has a full drawer full, he got a pack from quite a few people at Christmas.

I can never understand the argument of people that they have paid so much to be there, that they should get something special. Surely they must realise that everyone else has paid too. I dont get it?
