tbf pumbas - if it was me adjusting your ride restraint I would ram it down hard against your chest also ;)

i fitted hulk et al fine in 2006... but then wrote a dissertation and stopped gymming it... will be awesome to ride in the non fat seats again :)

I spent too much time on Rip Ride Rock It, trying to find the secret songs that I wound up with some random dance mix. It probably took a bit away from what is otherwise a great coaster.

The UK site DIBB printed a load of codes for the hidden tracks. But I couldnt get Megadeath to work.

Just back from Universal....my husband fit into every ride fine in normal seats (Hulk, Rip, Mummy, etc), went on FJ in the morning and the restraints were snug but he fit. We returned later that afternoon and after waiting 90 minutes in line to ride FJ again, we got to the test seat at the sorting hat and a lady pulled us out of line and told us that she "had to practice getting people into the benches". She then tried twice to lower the restraint on my husband and told us he wouldn't fit because it needed to click three times and she was sorry. We were in shock so didn't mention that he'd fit in earlier in the day.

Just thought I'd warn anyone who went on it once that you might not fit it another time. My husband is about 6' and weighs around 290. The FJ lady blamed his thighs for being large....which we thought was odd.

I guess it's often times a crapshoot, depending on the person that's in charge of letting you go. It seems that technically you can be released with 2 clicks but if there's a supervisor on duty they adhere to the 3 clicks.

I've heard there is also a point where you can re-enter the line without having to wait through the full standby queue. It was recommended to me that if you do get turned away, go into the re-enter line and try again.

When I was there last weekend I noticed a TM asking someone to try the seats before the ride. After doing so they took them and their party through a door right beside the test seat. I'm guessing maybe they already have some sort of modified seating bc as I was getting on they were letting people hop in before the regular line. It also might have just been the baby swap area but not totally sure.

Why didn't they just include seats for larger guests from the get-go? Doesn't make any sense. Some of these people are travelling thousands of miles to go on this ride, only to be turned away because the thing wouldn't click a third time!?!? Ridiculous! It should have been designed to accomodate a broader variety of people.

The seats themselves shouldn't be a problem. They are definitely wider and I think much more comfortable than the coaster seats on Hulk and Dragon Challenge. What they need to figure out is a way to have a over the head restraint that that accommodate larger guests.

They have to balance the needs of the average guest with the demand to seat as many people at a time as possible.

They could make the seats or restraints twice as large but then you only move half as many people.

And the fact still stands most guests will fit on the ride just fine. So do you build a ride to fit 90% of people that keeps the line moving quickly, or do you build it to fit 10% of people and slow the line?
