Oh, man! I'm getting too old for concerts, even for ones performed by members who are older than me....
OK, all you Durannies out there: The boys were in tune last night. They jammed at the Tabernackle in Atlanta, a small venue that used to be the House of Blues alittle while back, and sounded pretty good. A bit older, but not bad at all.
Roger Taylor was great on the drums, Andy Taylor was awesome on the ax, Nick was smooth on the keys, John Taylor kept the groove on bass, and Simon did his thing as FrontMan (altho he has lost alittle something in his pipes).
This was their set:
A VIEW TO A KILL
PLANET EARTH
HUNGRY LIKE THE WOLF
COME UNDONE
WHAT HAPPENS TOMORROW
NEW RELIGION
IS THERE SOMETHING I SHOULD KNOW
BEAUTIFUL COLOURS
UNION OF THE SNAKE
WAITING FOR THE NIGHT BOAT
ORDINARY WORLD
SAVE A PRAYER
NOTORIOUS
GIRLS ON FILM
CARELESS MEMORIES
WILD BOYS
----
WHITE LINES
THE REFLEX
RIO
I haven't seen so many pregnant 30-something women dancing all together at the same place! My wife included....
The boys did themselves proud, especially when they did their encore. My ears are still ringing.
*Where's the freakin' aspirin?*
