For Women's Eyes Only

I was wondering if anyone could help. I am leaving in less than a week and after looking at my pictures from last year, I'm kind of worried. Every time I look at our honeymoon pictures all I see is sweaty hair in a pony tail, shiny face, and smudged mascara.
I know y'all have great tips in every other department (I've used a few) so now I'm reaching out to see if anyone has any tips when it comes to appearance and keeping it up while in Disney World.

How do some women keep from looking like they haven't bathed in 3 days???

Thanks in advance.

P.S. I did bathe everyday. (Just thought I should add that!)

Photoshop was my favorite suggestion!

I use only Bare Escentuals makeup, and it's a lot fresher feeling for me than traditional foundations. If you absolutely have to wear mascara, waterproof is the way to go. I'm fine with the amount of color I already have on my lips, so I just wear Chapstick or Softlips. When I go in December I'm going to try out the Prime Time (BE primer) to see how it does then.

My hair's long, thick, and naturally curly, and I wear it straight. Redken Real Control + a ceramic flat iron = win. I kept it in a ponytail (not your preferred option, I know, but I tend to play with my hair) or just held it away from my face with one of those little butterfly clips. It's loose but still under control.

As far as hair is concerned- I swear by these accordian combs I buy at a local craft show. I've been using them for years. Just a twist here and there- and your hair looks terrific. I can switch from hair down to up in a flash- starting with wet or dry hair. They really are amazing! I have one in every color- wouldn't Disney without them. It's basically 2 hair combs connected by elastic and material. The material hides any messy/crazy way you have to twist your hair to get it up.

As far as make-up is concerned- I use my usual Mary Kay foundation- primarily for the extra sunscreen protection. I can't seem to find a lipstick that stays on every day- let alone could make it in Disney. Good Luck!!!

I have always been a foundation hater until I started using the Bare Minerals line. Seriously best make-up I've ever used! Because it's all a powder form it's very light on the skin AND contains SPF. And to refresh, it's just a quick brush-over with the mineral veil. It's a little pricey but definitely worth it since it lasts quite a while as you only use a small amount each time. And once you get used to it, your whole face is done in just a few minutes.

I don't want to derail the thread, but I just have to add my vote for the Bare Minerals make-up... once you use it, you'll never go back to regular foundation again! I love it!

another thing I have found helpful is just regular baby wipes- they are good for wiping down arms and the back of your neck every once in a while to get rid of the stickiness

Love all the makeup and hair suggestions. My question is a little off topic but I don't know how to start a new thread. Does anyone know when BBT will start having beauty packages for the older (adult) princesses? So far, I've only noticed that the young princesses are getting the make overs.

Anyone can go. I saw a woman probably in her late 70s early 80s all done up last week. The from the hair to the makeup right down to the Cinderella costume. It was cute.

Where did you find a travel size? I also like it. I tried the Degree clinical but found it has stained clothes! It bleaches them sort of like my acne medication did. I bought Dove this time, so I'm hoping to have more luck. The key with the "clinical strength" deodorant is to apply it at night after a quick shower. Then I use regular deodorant (Dove) after my morning shower. Another good thing to use is baby powder. I always take a mid-afternoon shower after a busy morning at the parks, it can make you feel like a new person!

Wow I just wanted to say I thought I was the only one and THANK YOU LADIES!! I was concerned b/c I will be on my honeymoon(in 15 days) with soon to be hubby who hasnt been to WDW since he was a child so there will be lots and lots of pics! I was concerned b/c we have the dining plan and have some nice TS ressies too. I use a mineral powder so Im hoping that will help, havent had an oily prob lately but sure I will be sweating so Im gonna try the toilet seat covers (that doesnt even sound right does it? LOL!) I dont do mascara just brown waterproof eyeliner I stopped wearing lipstick/lipgloss so my man wouldnt have to wear it LOL! I think I will get a mini body spray and trial size deo for both of us and stick a toilet seat cover in my little bag I carry in the parks. As far as hair I have really long hair so ponytail is the only thing I can do..

#1 make up tip for Disney trip - WATER PROOF MASCARA!!
For those sweaty days and wet rides, it is a necessity.
I just hate how it is so hard to wash off. Other than that, I don't wear much make up while down there.

Almay makes some pre-moistened eye makeup remover wipes. They work very well for waterproof make-up AND contact lens wearers. The jar is fairly small, but you could always keep a few in a small ziploc to take up even less space.

A little covergirl makeup and a little powder. For my long hair, I pull it back, twist it and clip it up high with a barette so the hair hangs down like a ponytail.

I tend to wear my hair in a pony, but with a little poof so it doesn't look as severe.

In terms of makeup: whomever mentioned MAC Paint is right. That stuff does not move. I tend to use a powder when I'm there, a little Paint, a little liner (which I keep with me to freshen up), and Benefit Benetint on cheeks and lips and I'm good to go.

The only time I really went "full face" for makeup was my wedding day, or a special occasion dinner with an evening in a park when it's much cooler.
