For Those of you With Glasses

I wear 300 dollar glasses and I never take them off for rides. They just fit snuggly enough for me to feel comfortable with.

My only close call was with The Incredible Hulk. Usually I'm good with that ride, but one time they came close to flying off mid air and I had to use my spidey-sense to grab them mid-air. I was lucky to get them, too.

So, my advice, don't wear your glasses on the Hulk!

My glasses fit pretty snug, so they stay on. It is a pain in the neck though to have to keep switching from sunglasses to regular when going indoors.

...or half empty but you're at WDW so I guess it's always half full.

If you do take them off, do not put them in your shirt pocket. Lost a pair of sunglasses on BTMR after they bounced out of my pocket on the straight, short up and down hills. Put them in a bag or something that's secure in the net they provide on most of the coaster like rides if you take them off.

good question

I ware glasses, but never in the parks. I can see good enough without them. I use sun glasses with a strap for going from the outside to the inside, ie SE. They are around my neck on the rides, on for most pictures.

My daughter wears glasses now (she didn't have them yet the last time we were at WDW) and it hadn't occurred to me that it might be a problem. Although she doesn't actually like coasters or anything with a big drop so it should really be fine.

I used to just find it annoying wearing 3d glasses over the top of my regular specs!

But!

So exciting!

This summer I will be returning to Disney as a member of the ICP with no glasses! Had laser eye surgery 2 weeks ago! woohoo!:sohappy:

1) Normal glasses = leave on for all rides
2) Sunglasses = take off for any ride going upside down in some fashion

I normally wear contacts in the parks, but this last trip forgot them. Just wore my glasses on all things with no issue. RnRc twice, SM twice, Everest, etc.

I used to take them off, but with my new specs, they wrap around my head so I don't need to take them off on attractions anymore. They don't move a bit.

I have always worn glasses and never had a problem with them on rides. It was wearing the 3D glasses OVER my glasses that I had a problem with. Yeah, my glasses got wet on Splash Mountain, and I wore them at Blizzard Beach, but I could always dry them off. It was more annoying to have to hold 3D glasses on over my own glasses.
