For those of you who dress up for MNSSHP?

For those of my friends here who go to Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party and dress up, or have even seen somebody there dressed up, I have a quick question.

There is one member of my party who wants to wear a pair of wings to the party. I have read the insert in that came with the tickets to the party and don't think that they fall under any banned items, but my concern is this: Will the wings have to be removed for certain rides and if so, which rides?

Thanks so much for any help!!

I wore black feather angel wings last year and I took them off for most rides just to fit on the ride. It was a bit of a hassle and I wouldn't do it again. People bumped into my wings a lot as well.

I don't know if they're 'legal' or not but wings are a pain in the @$$ !!! People bump into them and while they look great, they're a pain to wear around!! IMO

I wore wings last year. I had a little bit of problem with people running into them. After the storm (Wilma) hit though I had no problems. The park pretty much cleared out. :p It was a lot of fun. The only ride we rode was It's a Small World and I kept them on. I plan on wearing them again this year. I did get a lot of comments on my costume.:D

Now, I've never worn wings...but I can't imagine that they'd be "banned" considering that all of the Tinkerbell costumes have them.

I can't say that they'd be the most comfortable things to have on most rides though. I'd say...go for it...but you may end up taking them off throughout the night.

I went as Mr. Incredible last year and it was so hot that by the time the parade started, I was out of the costume. (Also...what is Disney thinking with their costumes...HOW DOES ONE RELIEVE HIMSELF IN THEM?!?!?!?!)

Shoot! I just threw out all the paperwork that came with the tickets...can anyone give some help on banned items?

Thanks!
Most of the banned items are going to follow common sense.

No weapons (guns knives swords). Exceptions for this are generally made for the very obviously fake plastic swords and knives carried by kids but don't show up with a authentic looking cutlass and flint lock pistol. Horror costumes are frowned upon as well as full mascot head mask where you could be easily confused with entertainment at the party. Costumes must also be in good taste, so naked with full body paint won't cut it.

It is a good idea that your costume be comfortable and not bulky. If it is it can prevent you from riding certain attractions. Needless to say a 6' pair of angle wings would have to be remove before getting on pretty much every attraction in the park.

I echo Master Yoda (Dad's) advice on dressing up for MNSSHP. As long as you are able to load and unload attractions ect. you should be fine. I would really just use your best judgement on your comfort and the safety of yourself and others.

Oh, and have lots of fun...don't forget that!:)

P.S.: Boo to You....and you...and you!
