For the "naysayers" of the NEW Illuminations pre show music......

Do yourself a favor and actually download or listen to the music a few times with an OPEN mind.

I absolutely LOVED the previous music and was sad to see it go. But I wanted to give this new music a chance.

I'm not even through my second listen of the entire loop and I've already found 4 songs that would have worked previously with the prior loop.

Remember, people tend to love and resist change on something they first got into. I'm that way, but I'm going in with an open mind and have been pleasantly surprised so far.

The first time I heard it at Epcot, I thought, "what the heck happened". Now I can already see how this music will "work".

Will I like it more than the previous version? Who knows, but you can't say it's a travesty or to coin Gorilla Monsoon, "a miscarriage of justice".

I don't dislike the new pre-show tracks, but I definately prefer the previous set. It certainly doesnt impact my enjoyment of RoE though :)

Well i loved the old loop and there are some songs that i love in this new loop as well, some of them are mayb better than some of the songs in the old loop in my opinion. As ive said before in other threads about the new music they could of course play it for an hour before the start of illuminations with the new and old music playing. Ive got most the CDs now and cant wait until July to hear it again live.

Heres a link to the thread with the new music:

Okay Kev, where can i download the epcot dance party?

And i'm with Steve on this one.... I definetly prefered the earlier version. It was interesting on NYE to hear both loops played... twas great.

Actually that little dance piece is only a short part of 1 song. The first time I heard that I was a little concerned as well, but it's not nearly as offensive as I thought it would be.

I too prefer the original music, but then again I've heard that for 4 years and the new stuff less than a handful of times, so I'm biased.

And brown nosing the owner of the website will get you nowhere. :drevil:

Alrighty..... sounds good.

I just hate waiting in mIRC... too many people with crappy connections quened in front of me.

I decided to stick my head in the sand and pretend IRC doesn't exist. Seems overly complicated to set up, so I never bothered. You don't miss what you never had. :D :D

I love the old one and the new one. And I love how the new one gives more of a Celebration(party) feel to everything before the show.

Is there anywhere other than mIRC that this can be downloaded? More specifically, the Uttara-Kuru and Sabah Habas Mustapha tracks?

I have to agree. Last year I hated the new music but this year i kind of liked it, especially the first track. I think it needs to grow on you.
