For Once... Scored Airfare

Boston to MCO... direct, with good flight times (early departure from Logan, late departure from MCO returning). 189 a person... I couldn't believe it. I paid over 300 dollars this past July for the same flight. I haven't seen a sub 200 flight in sometime, hopefully we'll see a nice string of low fares for everyone planning.

I'm just so pumped... for once, not screwed over by the airlines.

Delta

Flights leaving Logan at 7AM and arriving at 10:02AM (Flight DL 1315)

Departing MCO at 6:59PM, arriving at Logan at 9:55PM (Flight DL 1102)

189 a person, same flight was 236 on Friday.

I always play chicken with the airlines... seemingly always lose as well. You just have to know when to book, but there is no science. My dad was getting flights to MCO for 69 each way a few years back, of course crappy flight times, but he was working in FL since construction jobs have hit the crapper here in New England.

I have been using bing travel's predictor. I don't know how accurate it is, but it makes me feel like I am actively trying to get a better deal.

I use YAPTA... you insert the flight information and you can select an email schedule. I was using a daily alert to track the price, it worked out okay but I didn't get a great deal. I had a great JetBlue flight come in at 315/pp but ended up like 365 a few months out and stayed there.

Sub 200 is amazing from Boston... without having to fly out of Logan at 8PM or make 2 stops.

Logan is about an hour and a half or so from me and they have a bus that takes you from Portland to the airport so we always check Logan as well as Portland and Manchester. Lately though Logan has been just as expensive as Portland!! But since you got a good deal, it gives me hope that hopefully we can manage to score something for next May when we go.

That's great! From MA here too and I go to Logan or PVD as the better price comes available. The only thing I hate about Delta is they charge $25 for checked bag. If you can get the Delta AmEx it's no annual fee the first year and you get 1 free checked bag per traveler per flight and priority boarding. I flew delta last January and got the card just for the trip. I cancelled it before the renewal date to avoid the fee.

I usually fly Jet Blue... but in this case Delta was almost 70 bucks cheaper a head for the same flight times. I'm pretty good at packing for a week in just a carry on. It's something that you just learn with time!

yeah, as a true New Englander I scoff when I see Floridians and southerners wearing coats when it's 55 or 60 degrees... thats a heat wave for us during winter!

Yeah, they actually just did a new expansion this past year and they're still not done. A whole new security area and a couple new gates, new parking. I live like a mile or so from the airport so it's VERY convenient.
