It's great news. Sounds like they will be good DVD's with a new documentary. Can't wait! In the article I read it said they were bringing them out in Sept so they could take FULL advantage of the holiday buying season. Which now starts in Sept, I guess. Where have I been?:lol: Anyway no one in my house is going to want to wait and get it for Christmas!

I have the originals on VHS and unless the price is really good, I will probably do without the 'new' versions. Besides, with the release of ROTK around that time and the extended version in November, my DVD cash is already spoken for.

NOpe Jer, The original trilogy has not been sold on dvd format, it was released on vhs. Which I have, but I definately will be getting the DVD`s! :wave:

I heard Lucas was shooting scenes to add into the triliogy to make them synch up better with the prequels. It's just a rumor though, I'm sure The Flanneled One knows better. I'm getting this the day it's released.

Mr Lucas (George to his friends :animwink: ) is quoted as saying that Episodes IV, V & VI would not be released on DVD until after Episode III had been made.

Yeah, I knoe what you mean. They already said the box set will have the new versions, which Lucas just want us to accept are the originals. Crappy Greedo...

But this should be almost as sweet as the Indy set.
