Amen, Gary.

As long as there's college football, there will be profane drunken tirades and property damage. It's like the flow of the tides...

After traveling to Alabama this past weekend, I have come to the conclusion that those are the nicest people ever. I guess "us LSU" people are too rowdy and mean lol. We expected to be yelled at and ridiculed, and that idea never came to be :(. Kinda let us down actually, but we did get offered beer and food throughout the day. After the game was over however, we kind of wiped it into their face lol :).

You've still got that outpouring of love coming from the rest of the country, but not in Tuscaloosa anymore.

And for the record, I went to Penn State, but I have never thrown a beer bottle at anyone, and I don't condone it.

I have, however, seen fights, people setting fires and people overturning cars.

College students, beer and football lead to stupid acts such as throwing bottles and posting obnoxious threads on discussion forums.

Weird! Well, nobody would do that on a DISNEY discussion forum, anyway!

I actually almost whooped some you know what on this one kid though. As he walked by us he said "How does it feel to go to class in a canoe, you **explitive**"

I wish I would have because that kid deserved it.

My thread drift continues...

Posts I found on an Alabama message board about parking at Auburn:

"Good luck, when Lowder built the place he never thought about parking and student housing, theres no parking and in a survey done last year more students live in trailer parks than dorms."

"Park at home, watch it on TV, and avoid the stench."

"I too am looking for somewhere where some Bama fans will be so I can be with my own kind! I was thinking of calling Tide Pride tommorrow or even Allbarn (assuming they have phones)and seeing if there is a usual place where visiting teams fans park."

"If it rains, or is wet you will need an SUV to park. I have relatives who visited their sons at boogville for the au-Georgia game a couple of years ago. It had been raining and they told me they watched several people WINCH their vehicle into their usual tailgating spot close to the stadium.
I know this school is a rural cesspool, but that is ridiculous."

"Just park out in the cow field. Also you don't need a map. If you are coming from Montgomery, go North until you smell it, and then go left until you step in it."

"park over yonder next to the goat pen."

The utter contempt...priceless!

 Yup, that's how people are over this game.

The schools let the kids wear shirts supporting their fav. team on the Friday before the game.

Personally, I don't actually care (I don't care for football), but my hubby does. He'll be at the game Sat.

HAHA, funny thing is that on sat. at the Alabama/LSU game we kept talking about them. I kept telling ppl the reason we are getting along so well is that we both HATE Auburn and LOVE drinking :).

If not for 3-point losses to LSU by both teams and a season opening loss to Georgia Tech for Auburn, the Iron Bowl would be matching a pair of 10-0 football teams this weekend. How much crazier would that make the rivalry?
