Just browsing through the TV last night, and came across the Bravo channel... they were showing one of Cirque's many wonderous shows, so I decided to watch. Right after it, they had a show that really caught my attention... it's kind of like a behind the scenes documentary (almost like the Real World) of the hiring, and training for thier new show Varekai... It's a 13 episode mini-series. They're re-showing it again tonight at 7:00pm EST... Quite amazing what they all go through. :)

On a side note... I'm in the mood to go see La Nouba again... who wants to buy me a ticket??? :D

Did they show any footage from O? That one is their most secretive show they have. They never show any footage from that one on TV.

Seen:

La Nouba 4 times.
Quidam once
Dralion once
Mystere once

I couldn't get tickets when I was in Vegas for O!! Everyone I know has seen that one and are always bragging about how good it was.

The show he saw is called The Fire Within. It is a brand new Cirque Du Soleil show, but the TV show goes back 9 months before the circus show and show you the auditions of some of the people. It is very cool.

I haven´t seen Ô either... I recommended it to some family and friends and to my brother and sister in law. They all loved it and came back saying that they should have seen that one the last, because the other shows they saw looked plain after seeing Ô! (They saw Ô and then Siegfried and Roy).

I saw tidbits of it in a special they had last week. They were interviewing two dancers, one from Mystere and another one from another show in Vegas, telling about their lives as performers in Vegas and showed a little bit of it. I was very impressed!
I´ve only seen La Nouba, but twice or three times while I was in Orlando (for FREE!!! YEAY!). I want to see the others! :animwink:

I've only seen La Nouba live once. but i've seen all the Bravo ones on tv. at least, i think all the Bravo ones...anyway someone could post a list of the ones they've shown so i could check? i thought i had saw a little bit from O (performers sitting on the floor splashing water...O is the only one i know of that uses water, so i just assumed) while they advertised their marathon the other day.
i just love the Cirque shows! my faves being La Nouba and Quidam and i think Saltimbanco has some really awesome acts as well! I like Alegria too! but my favorite act out of any Cirque acts has to be the German Wheel in Quidam...i know they have several in La Nouba, but for some reason Quidam's impressed me more!
I saw the new series as well. i had always known the whole thing was a tough process, but until i watched the behind the scenes, i had NO clue just how tough it could be! there's no way i could be a casting person...especially one of those that goes out and looks for singers or one that chooses the singers! talk about stress!

Cirque du Soleil is in town here as we speak. We are working seven days a week to get their apartments ready. We just happen to service the apartments that they are going to stay in for two months. They are spread out as there are different complexes who would do a short term lease. The company is paying big bucks for them to stay in apartments (set up at that), as opposed to hotels.
