For all those September folks that booked flights with Southwest

Just checked my flight to see if it went down and woo hooo for us it did...A whole $360.00 !How great is that!!!! We got a credit which we'll be using for a trip in April so we will definatly be using it!!!!! Thought I'd let you all know!!!Maybe yours went down as well!

How do you get the credit if your price goes down? Do you just call customer service? :wave:

If you booked the ticket online you can easily change it online. On the main page, just go to My Travel > Change Flight. The "change" is that essentially you are choosing the same flight but this time with the cheaper price.

Or you can call up customer service. I've always found the agents at SW to be very helpful/friendly.

When this first posted I started checking SWA daily.

My flight has gone UP $360 since then. (for 2 tix)
Looks like the planes will be full.

Congratulations all of you who "won" the SWA lottery.

We got $49 from Columbus. $480 for four RT!

Southwest and Airtran are the only direct flights from Columbus anyways.

Just checked and noticed my return flight price was lower. Got a $42 credit total from 2 tickets.

Just wanted to let you all know that the cost for early bird check in is not refundable. If you cancel and rebook to get the better price you will lose out on what you paid additionally and have to pay again. I still saved $50 but I didn't even realize I would have to pay for that again after switching. And, starting January 2011 (I believe that is the date) only the person who the ticket is issued to can use the credit.
