All of your examples are done usually to keep the price the same and or the quality of the product. Also none of your examples are in a bubble. (Think sports games...theme parks...movie theaters.) Places the vendor has zero compitition and thus you are already paying rediculous prices.

The reason people are upset is because of this damn trend. Its take take take. Across the whole board.
Sports venues, movies, concerts etc have a small volume of patrons and have a limited amount of time (few hours) to make their money therefore they are forced to charge high prices. Disney on the other hand is open 365 days a year and generally 10-12 hours a day there is no reason to jack the prices up with the high volume of people other than pure greed.

No longer eating any Disney food would "Be good for most people's waistlines"...

... and even healthier for their wallet!

No kidding. Every time I see a food review at the Site That Must Not Be Named, I get nauseous at all the sugar, fondant and other crap on those damned cookies and cupcakes. I'm not a health nut but jeez...do people actually eat those things?

As for Disney food overall, the worst hamburgers I've ever had in my life were at Cosmic Ray's and the Backlot Express. Similarly gray color, similarly chewy gristly consistency. Bleah. Just awful. No amount of condiments could disguise their grossness.

Now, I have had some good meals at certain places at WDW, like the Plaza on Main Street. I got a very good cheeseburger there. And I used to love the Brown Derby...but it's changed its menu, as I understand it, and dropped all the duck dishes. Now the menu is generic chicken and steak etc. Very disappointing...

Tomorrow we are going to HS for part of the day and have a lunch reservation at 50s Prime Time Cafe. I’m sure I’ll be harassed by the waiter/waitress for something. Maybe management could slip in a waistline insult for the staff as part of the “experience” of it.

Hotels that are non Disney do similar. Less options to enjoy hotel offerings ( limited food, recreation, hours) , charge a " resort fee ", less housekeeping , charge for daily parking etc, pay more to get less, that's nothing new.
Agreed, but Disneyparks are the best at it….

Keep your elbows off the table, eat all your veggies and Mom will be happy. She will even give you a clean plate sticker if you eat it all. ;)

It’s not a trend.
A (stay on property, eat on property) vacation is expensive.
