The Incredible Schmulk

Meh. Completely missed that Kona has two beers at the Hawaii booth. So it makes sense that they are there and not at the Craft Beer booth. (Even though that Kona was probably brewed in NH and not Hawaii)
I did like when Louisiana/New Orelans booth a few years back had Abita.
Sadly I think WDW has to do a balancing game. Yeah there are plenty of amazing craft/micro breweries. But they need to find someone who has a reliable distribution network, and can ensure a pretty decent amount of kegs going to FL. So sadly that sticks with more of the larger craft brewers. According to Wiki, the American Brewers Association defines craft as under 6,000,000 barrels per year. And that in 2010 Sierra Nevada made 768,000 barrels. So they actually still count. But yet, they are the 6th largest brewery in the US, third in craft only to Samuel Adams and Yuengling at 2,500,000 barrels each. So the ABA pretty much tags everything that isn't BMC as craft.
Well, what the ABA considers craft and what I can consider craft are two completely different animals. I mean, Dogfish Head supplies their 60-Minute IPA to Disney for their lounge menus, how hard would it be to secure something from them to include in the Craft Beer booth? I thought that the inclusion of Full Sail's two Session Lagers (Standard and Black) two years ago was a stroke of brilliance. Last year's inclusion of Sunset Ale was also a nice touch. I'll even give them a nod for including a few Florida brews among the booths this year. They get it right sometimes, but they have missed more than hit over the last two years, and this year is worse than last.
Maybe next year they'll come to me. I can give them suggestions for a wide variety of tastes, all of which could and should have the supply chain to keep Disney in business.
Oh, and on a personal note, I really dislike Leinenkugel beers. I know that they're a big deal in the upper Midwest, but I think their fruity brews are pretty gross.
