So... all of these pictures are of several days-yes? I can't imagine eating all of that food in one day not to mention the libations! It sure does look yummy! May I ask- about how much you budget for this? I think it's awesome, but hubby disagrees.:( Oh well, maybe some day I'll make a "ladies only" trip w/ my friend around that time. Salute!:D
Beth we use our snack credits for all of this. Normally, we pick a day where our TS is for breakfast, then peruse WS and use snack credits, pacing ourselves as much as possible. The alcohol is OOP. We never budgeted during F&W because heaven knows if I used up all my snack credits, and spent my money on libations and souveniers, then wanted to stop in Germany, to get a candy apple and had no money there would be H-E- double toothpicks to pay, and lets face it DH has to sit on a plane with me back to Jersey. Can we say he would be a tad bit uncomfortable?!?!?!? LOL

I'm surprised to see that the Hawaii booth is returning. It seems like in the past years that I've visited, there's been only one region of the USA represented each year. It's kind of nice that we'll get both Hawaii and Florida this year.

If I were a vegan, I'd be pretty disappointed with the Terra booth. Fake meat and fake dairy aren't necessary when there are so many good grains, nuts, produce, etc. that is naturally vegan.

Not full on vegan, just vegetarian, but I'm happy to see at least an effort to have some sort of non animal protein available. But they also seemed to use the fact they now have a vegan booth as a cop out for all veggie meals. I think I counted 2 choices listed (outside of desert) that doesn't include meat at the other booths.

I'm looking over the Craft Beer booth selection for this year, and I am thoroughly disappointed. Most of it was there last year, and I wasn't very impressed with that selection, either. It was awesome two years ago, so I don't know why they decided to keep such a lackluster line-up this year. The Sierra Nevada Pale Ale? Seriously? It's available pretty much everywhere on property. It's a good beer and all, but how about a bit more effort.

That was my first thought. Sierra Nevada, Red Hook, Blue Moon? A slight bit better than the BMC main labels, but marginally. Sierra Nevada is an outstanding brewery, but almost easy to find as Sam Adams. And I thought the F&W fest was supposed to be about finding new things to eat/drink.

Yeah, I thought that might happen. It's a shame, too. I'm not a vegetarian, but sometimes I'll opt for a veggie dish just because I want lighter fare.

This makes me laugh:
Dannon® Oikos® Greek Yogurt Cups
Really? A cup of yogurt you can get at the grocery store? LOL That's not very exciting. Not to mention, the full size is like $1 at the store. Most snacks are $3-5. What in the world are they going to charge for it at the Festival? :p

Right? Plus, it's like the worst of the Greek yogurt brands.

Great pics! Wish I could go this year...but a group of friends and I are planning a 2013 excursion! Guess we should start exercising and saving money now!!!!

At least you have 2013 to look forward to. Does exercising involve drinking 20+ tiny overpriced drinks over the course of a half marathon walk? Because I'd start training now.

Yeah, Blue Moon is a little baffling, too. At least Red Hook is a little tougher to find on the East Coast, but I can walk to pretty much any gas station in any town in the country and pick up a sixer of Blue Moon. I thought the craft beer booth was supposed to highlight small breweries making good beer, introduce a large vacation population to something that they might not find otherwise. I don't think Sierra Nevada Pale Ale or any Blue Moon product fits that bill. Blue Moon is owned by Miller/Coors! Not exactly the company you call to mind when you think of craft brewing.

Nah, we have the drinking down pat! It's the amount of walking that is a difficulty for some of my group.... plus they might spill some of the beer/wine as they walk...so there is an Olympic type training schedule involved.

I will miss the salmon. I'm actually a little annoyed that the Canada booth items are just carbon copies of the Le Cellier menu, but I understand that the Canada booth is the most popular of the Festival. They're just doing what works.

Why is there no poutine in the Canada booth? And I mean real poutine, with cheese curds and brown gravy. Seems like something that would fit really well in the festival. It's at least more appropriate than soup while walking around in the Florida summer sun.

Well, slightly more appropriate. But yeah, it seems like a lot of the Festival Marketplace booths embrace a sort of "street food" theme with their offerings, and Canada does not. Why no poutine or the famed beaver tails?

I say go with the greek salad or the greek cheese or the chicken.... I saw that too, at those prices, I could have Oikos yogurt delivered to my resort LOL

And believe it or not Widmer and Red Hook are about 32% owned by AB. I am a bit surprised they didn't throw Kona in the mix too as they are part of the CBA trifecta. And while we are talking about the CBA, apparently they sold their chunk of Goose Island to AB, and they are now entirely owned by AB? That was a bit of a shocker.

Wasn't Kona on the menu last year? It's kind of a baffling list. I think Sierra Nevada has long surpassed the point in sales and popularity where it can be considered a "craft beer." The same can be said for many of the others.

Meh. Completely missed that Kona has two beers at the Hawaii booth. So it makes sense that they are there and not at the Craft Beer booth. (Even though that Kona was probably brewed in NH and not Hawaii)

I did like when Louisiana/New Orelans booth a few years back had Abita.

Sadly I think WDW has to do a balancing game. Yeah there are plenty of amazing craft/micro breweries. But they need to find someone who has a reliable distribution network, and can ensure a pretty decent amount of kegs going to FL. So sadly that sticks with more of the larger craft brewers. According to Wiki, the American Brewers Association defines craft as under 6,000,000 barrels per year. And that in 2010 Sierra Nevada made 768,000 barrels. So they actually still count. But yet, they are the 6th largest brewery in the US, third in craft only to Samuel Adams and Yuengling at 2,500,000 barrels each. So the ABA pretty much tags everything that isn't BMC as craft.
