Florida Residents No Longer Get Free Parking With Seasonal Pass?

Please excuse me if this is old news, but I just received an email about Florida Resident Annual Passes and parking is no longer included on the "seasonal" option.

Is this a new cutback? Our family had the Seasonal Pass last year and parking was included. We upgraded to the Annual Pass this year because we had so many friends and family visiting during the summer.

We were thinking about going back to the Seasonal option next year or skipping the year completely anyway (due to how stale the parks have become to us). We may have to go ahead and opt out completely if parking isn't included anymore.

No cutback here.

Always been like that.

Designed to get folks with seasonals to buy annuals. ... The seasonal 'APs' as they call them now began life in the mid-80s as the 'Three Season Salute' for Florida residents where you could get in every day to MK and EC in the months of January, May and September (traditionally, at least then, the three slowest months of the year!)

I second '74's response. Seasonal Passholders haven't received parking for as long as I can remember. We started as Season Passholders back in 2006. The best way to get around it is to have one AP and the rest Seasonal or find other means of being able to park without having to pay.

Yep true nothing new, seasonal has never included parking. Im still amazed that the passes get a 10% shopping discount, 20% on the premiums.

I'm sorry. You guys are absolutely correct. I completely forgot we hung on to one Annual Pass each year so that parking would be free.

Nothing to see here. Mods can delete this thread....

We always had Seasonal Passes but upgraded just my son's to an Annual Pass. Not much savings but a little cheaper than upgrading an Adult Pass and then parking is included.

Back a few years ago when I had a Seasonal, I had a CM actually argue with me that it wasn't eligible because it didn't say the word "Annual" on the back of the ticket. I tried to explain it was an annual pass but she flat out told me no, I was wrong and she was not going to give me my discount. I reported her to Guest Services.

I think the cut-off point is something like nine visits. Less than nine visits in a year and you'll spend less total even with parking. More than 9 visits in a year, you might as well upgrade to an Annual since the money you pay in parking works out to be the difference in price between Seasonal/Annual anyway. The real downside to the Seasonal is the two weeks at Christmas/New Years. Summer and Spring Break never bothered me but the holidays at WDW are the best time of year.

We used to do the seasonals back in 05-08 but started to get the shakes around August when we couldn't go for three months. Annuals ever since.
