Has any one ever had one of these? If so, is it a real vanilla or cherry coke? Not one of the crappy kind that Coke puts out on their own. I'm taking real vanilla or cherry syrup filled a quarter of the cup with the rest Coke that you have to stir with your straw to keep the flavor going.

I believe that what you are talking about is what they serve because they once were able to give me a "diet" cherry coke there which had the syrup and soda.

My sister will only drink Cherry Coke (she doesn't really like regular Coke..go figure), and even though it's been 5 years, she still talks about the Cherry Coke at 50s Primetime. It was definitely syrup and coke, plus a nice cherry garnish. And still free refills.

I don't drink much pop (yes, I say pop and not soda, lol), but I'll probably be getting one of these on my next trip. Good stuff :D

I don't drink much of anything other than Coke Vanilla Zero, and I can tell you that the Diet Coke with vanilla at 50's Prime Time is outstanding. I'm not sure if it was real vanilla syrup or not, but it definitely tasted good!

I can't wait, my girlfriend and I finally decided on this over Mama Melrose's when she saw a picture of the chicken they serve and she fell in love with WDW's fried chicken at the Hoop Dee Doo last trip. I was hoping we could go last trip because I saw the flavored soda on the menu. It's tough to find a real flavored Coke any more where I live, most people look at you like you have ten heads (even when you order it in NYC, like that's the weirdest thing they have to put up with during the day).

When we went in 2009, my son's best friend kept asking for refills of his coke. She ended up bringing him 5 or 6 glasses. One of them was a chocolate coke. My son LOVED it. I thought it looked gross. It looked like a chocolate malt that had been left out for a few days. But, like I said, my son & his friend loved it. Just another flavor for you.

It's not as hard to get a Coke with grenadine (the name of the cherry syrup) as you think in general. Most casual dining restaurants that have a bar can make one that way for you too. We've asked for Coke with grenadine at Chili's for example - no problem. Bars stock grenadine for use in their mixed drinks. :D

For what it's worth, grenadine isn't cherry flavored - it's blackcurrant flavored.

Most bars, however, should have a jar of maraschino cherries, and they could make something cherry-flavored by using some of the leftover syrup out of that (since it's probably not going to get used for anything else :)).
