We've eaten there, and it's very good. As mentioned, it's counter service, with lots of outddor seating. DD, who is 21, orders kids meals there, and has plenty to eat!

It's great for a counter service restaurant, and the outside seating area's lush..

It's only open seasonally though.. Does anyone know if it's open at this time of the year?

I've never seen it marked a seasonal and its always been open whenever we have visited.

I've gone at all times of the year, and they're always open. I do not believe it is seasonal, since it is at a major "hub" of Animal Kingdom, and it has a huge seating capacity.

Flame Tree is one of our favorite places to eat at Animal Kingdom.

It's a favourite place of mine to eat. Nice grub and a fantastic setting in which to dine:

Another vote at this being a great place to get some great barbecue! We ate there last month as well as when we went in Feb/06. Not sure when it is not open. :king:

Flame tree has great tasting food. The one thing that I did not like was that the food was too good! I was really tempted to get my self another pulled pork sandwich but I did not feel like waiting in line. All of the expansive seating areas have great views. I sat right on the lake between the restaurant and EE. I have a picture of myself stuffing my face with a pulled pork sandwich with EE as the backdrop. It is also not seasonal to the best of my knowledge since I ate there last February.

When Flame tree first opened it wasn't very popular and almost closed.
It was listed as seasonal for a while but then became VERY popular and is now open year round.
Thank goodness...my wife and I Love this place and eat there on every trip.

Definitely a great place to eat. And even though it's "seasonal," I've only been to AK in the off season, and it's always been open.

GO as far back as you can for seating, and you'll find the nice quiet lakeside dining area. Time it right, and a boat full of characters might float by, too.

And of course, there are the begging ducks.

I haven't been since the first week of Dec. , but it was open. I've been at all different "off seasons" and it's always been open. Actually, this thread is the first time I've ever heard "seasonal" when talking about Flame Tree *shrugs* . I'll be back down in 2 weeks and plan to have lunch there.

Just conferred with an friend who lives in Orlando and visits the parks on a regular basis...Flame Tree is not a seasonal restaurant, it is always open.
